What is a digital ID and what is it used for?

The digital ID (DNIe) is a document issued by the Directorate General of Police that is used to electronically and unequivocally accredit a holder’s identity. It allows you to legally sign electronic documents.

It includes all of the digital ID data and incorporates a small chip that is able to keep and process information in a completely secure way.

To use your digital ID in your dealings with Endesa, you must have the following installed on your computer:

  • A card reader suitable for reading a digital ID.
  • The software provided by the Directorate General of Police.
  • A web browser that is compatible with the prior software.

To enter your Private Area, you just need to click on this link and type in your access key. With a single click, you will have access to all of your data.
