If you have a breakdown or an issue and have contracted any of the following services: Full Air-Conditioning Maintenance, Full Gas Maintenance, Protección Luz 360, Protección Gas 360 or Protección 360 Plus, you can contact Endesa's technical service by calling the free phone number: 919 102 214, operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
A specialist technician from Endesa's network, backed by rigorous quality controls, will visit your home in less than 3 hours. Travel and the first 3 hours of labour are included in the service.
The filters are cleaned, the drainage and cooling systems are checked, the coolant gas levels are checked and the outside of equipment is cleaned as part of standard air conditioning maintenance. According to the current regulations on Thermal Installations in Buildings, there needs to be a biennial inspection of the air conditioning installation.
But if you prefer to delegate maintenance to a specialised technical service, we recommend Full Air-Conditioning Maintenance, with which you will be eligible for an annual inspection of the air conditioning in your home which will reduce breakdowns and optimise consumption, so you can make a saving on your bills.
The maintenance of heater or boiler systems is more complex, as all elements of the installation need to be inspected (taps, supports, pipes, nozzles, ventilation, etc.), as well as the seal on the gas installation and the operational adjustment of the installation. There also needs to be an analysis of the combustion.
With the Full Gas Maintenance service, the boiler/heater, the heating circuit and gas installation in your home will always be kept in perfect condition: We offer you an initial diagnosis, annual check-ups and repairs, so that the installation of your home is always ready.
Electrical installations should be inspected periodically, covering the three basic types of electrical maintenance: Preventive, corrective and predictive.
Visually inspecting the connections, cleaning and adjusting the screws joints, as well as verifying that both the temperature and appearance of the conductors and circuit breakers are stable and correct. These are just a few ways of maintaining electrical installations to improve the efficiency of your devices and ensure that they last longer.
With the Protección Luz 360 maintenance service, you will be eligible for two repair services for your home's electrical installation every year. In addition, this service includes free insurance to protect payments of electricity bills.
Boilers must be inspected every 2 years, while a comprehensive inspection of the installation (including the meter, pipes and taps) should be made every 5 years. This frequency will depend on the type of boiler, as it may be advisable to have the boiler inspected once per year.
If you want the gas installation to always be in perfect condition, we offer you our Full Gas Maintenance service, with which the installation of your home will always be ready for any obligatory inspection.
Depending on the maintenance service contracted, you will be eligible for a number of inclusive extras but all our services include free call-out and the first 3 hours of labour free of charge.
The Protección Luz 360, Protección Gas 360 and Protección 360 Plus services include free insurance for the protection of electricity and/or gas bill payments subscribed with the insurance company Quantum Leben.
Once we have installed our photovoltaic solar installation, the photovoltaic modules are responsible for transforming solar radiation into electricity. This energy obtained is fed into the inverter, where it is converted into alternating current so this energy can be used without interruption during daylight hours.
If you have solar self-consumption batteries, the energy is stored until it is required to be used by someone in the house. If this energy is not fully used in the home and there are surpluses, you can sell this surplus to the electricity market, although this is a complex procedure, or you can opt for a simpler solution, a tariff that enables you to compensate for that surplus in your electricity bill, such as the Solar Simply with virtual battery tariff.
To take advantage of this natural resource, the first thing to do is to install photovoltaic solar panels. These solar panels will enable you to save on the electricity bill. Of course, the initial investment in the photovoltaic installation must always be taken into account.
To be able to harness the sun's energy, it is necessary to install these solar panels but also a grid inverter. This device is used to convert direct current (which is how solar energy arrives) into alternating current to be able to use it in the home.
In addition, to get the most out of solar energy, it is important to have solar batteries. These devices are a reservoir where the energy obtained from the photovoltaic panels is stored. To prevent these batteries from becoming overcharged, they need to have a charge regulator.
If the photovoltaic system is suitably designed, it is possible to cover up to 40% of current electricity consumption by means of photovoltaic solar energy from a self-consumption system.
Our Solar Photovoltaic Solution includes:
- Custom energy analysis and free quote.
Supply of all equipment and components required for the installation, from leading brands and manufacturers:

- Professional installation with Endesa's warranty and after-sales service.
- Handling of municipal permits and licences.
- Start-up, regulatory approval, and registration for self-consumption in your autonomous community under the Self-Consumption with Surplus mode with simplified compensation.
- 12-year warranty on panels, 10-year warranty on the inverter, and 10-year warranty on structures.
- Option to sign up for the Tempo 24h Transitional* Tariff through Endesa Energía SAU as of contract signing, with a 40% discount on your bill's energy rate during completion of your project (maximum 6 months).
- Option to sign up for the Solar Simply Cero Tariff through Endesa Energía SAU upon installation of your solar panels and activation of self-consumption (D1 received from the distributor).
*Temporary Transitional tariff: Discount on the Endesa Energía SAU's Tempo 24h tariff energy rate tied to the contracting of the Solución Solar product. Maximum discount duration: 6 months.
If you generate more energy than you need, there are two options:
- To opt for compensation for surpluses: An easy, quick procedure which enables you to inject the unused energy produced into the grid and to receive compensation on your bill in exchange for these surpluses in the form of a discount. All you need to do is to contract a self-consumption tariff with compensation for surpluses.
- Sell your surplus solar energy: It's about selling the energy you don't use directly to the electricity market. This process is more complex, as it requires registering as an energy producer, something that is not particularly convenient for most domestic self-consumers.
- The energy produced that is not consumed is injected into the grid, which is called "surplus".
- In each invoicing cycle you will receive compensation for these surpluses in your bill in the form of a discount, which will result in savings. How much these savings amount to will depend on the kWh injected into the grid, and the compensation price applied. This is the advantage of selling surplus self-consumption.
- In the calculation of the surplus compensation, there is a regulated limit called the "compensation limit", which means that you cannot be financially compensated with a value higher than the kWh you have consumed from the grid. This limit does not always appear on the bill, it only applies when the amount of energy discharged exceeds the amount of energy consumed from the network.
It is possible to install a storage battery next to the installation of the photovoltaic solar panels. And although this battery has a high cost, it enables you to be more self-sufficient, supplying yourself with self-produced and previously stored energy, having to depend less on energy from the grid.
The installation usually takes no more than two days, but to start the installation you need to have a municipal permit, and this procedure varies greatly depending on the municipality.
A larger installation is not always better, as you could generate more energy than you need or generate it when you least need it. The variables to be taken into account include the surface area of the house and the weight of the panels. That is why our specialised technicians will advise you on the solution that best suits your needs.
In December 2023, the Spanish Government renewed a series of subsidies for the installation of solar panels (subsidies for Next Generation self-consumption) to promote self-consumption in Spanish households. To be able to apply for a subsidy, it is essential to meet the following requirements (Endesa's installation meets them):
- A consumption monitor should be installed, as it is necessary to be able to measure production and consumption.
- The date of the installation must be later than 30 June 2021 (Installation Invoice). In this way, the installation of new panels is promoted.
- The size of the installation should be taken into account. The production of the installed system may exceed, at most, 25% of the annual consumption before installation.
Each autonomous community has established the method for applying for these grants. Therefore, in each locality you will need information on the corresponding procedure.
Special subsidies for solar panels in Autonomous Communities and Municipalities:
As we have already pointed out, the above subsidies are part of a state policy to promote self-consumption and are available to anyone in Spanish territory. But there are also other subsidies that depend directly on programs designed and administered by the autonomous communities and city councils.
These make it possible to obtain:
- Discounts on Municipal Property Tax (IBI in Spanish)
- Discounts on Municipal Building, Installations and Works Tax (ICIO in Spanish)
- Personal Income Tax Deductions (Autonomous Communities)
- One-off regional aid (Autonomous Communities)
As these are local subsidies, each authority determines the corresponding requirements and conditions. This is why it is advisable to consult the websites of the Autonomous Community and the City Council where the installation is going to be carried out, to find out what steps should be followed.
In short, there are currently ways to finance an electricity self-consumption installation, which facilitate its implementation in homes and are an excellent resource for saving on electricity bills and reducing your carbon footprint.
After the installation of your new self-consumption solar installation, from day one you will save on your conventional electricity bill, and in approximately 5 to 7 years the investment will have been recovered in full. But these times will depend on a number of factors:
- A correct design of the installation (orientation, inclination, etc.).
- Correct sizing of the installation in accordance with consumption curves in order to minimise the level of surpluses.
- Geographical location of the installation.
- Current electricity tariff.
