Thermal installations for industries
We advise you on how to make your business' energy consumption more efficient by finding new ways to save, analysing how to generate new income streams, and helping you become more sustainable.
Heat recovery for industries
Heat recovery works by reusing the thermal energy lost due to heat dissipation in your industrial production processes. It can be recovered through the same machine where it was lost, through other machines within the same factory, and even through adjacent factories. It is a high-energy-efficiency circular solution to help you decarbonise your business.
How does it work?
- It is based on harnessing the residual heat emitted by industrial thermal equipment (ovens, boilers, incinerators, etc.).
- To achieve this, we design and install heat exchangers, primarily in the chimneys or exhaust gas ducts of said equipment.
- By doing this, we manage to heat fluids such as air, water, or thermal oil to different temperatures. These are then used to transport this heat (which was previously wasted) to any energy-consuming devices that need it within the plant (climate control batteries, preheating combustion air for the boilers themselves, etc.), and even to other nearby plants.
- In this way, we give new value to what was once a waste product (the heat expelled into the atmosphere), achieving energy savings and reducing emissions.

How do we do it?
Prior to launching the project, we conduct an energy audit to determine the thermal energy dissipated into the atmosphere, its quality, and the potential consumers of recovered energy.
We present you with the heat recovery project, including the scope of delivery, expected savings, and economic valuation.
We carry out the installation, project management, execution, and commissioning of the installation.
After completing the project, the energy savings achieved is measured following the international certified savings measurement and verification protocol (CMVP).
Additionally, we offer comprehensive maintenance and monitoring services for your installation. We have a continuous monitoring system that allows us to evaluate the savings achieved, the efficiency of the installation, and the reduction in energy consumption.
Electrification of thermal processes
One of the main measures to promote the decarbonisation of the industrial sector involves replacing fossil fuels with clean energy sources, such as electricity, for heat generation.
The benefits of electrification begin with sustainability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Replacing electricity generated from fossil fuels with that generated from renewable sources, combined with the electrification of end uses, reduces pollution.
The European Union has raised its climate goals for 2030, aiming for a reduction of at least 55% in greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) compared to 1990, in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In this scenario, electricity penetration in final energy use is expected to rise from 23% to 30-31% by 2030 and to reach between 47% and 60% in the EU by 2050, according to EU data.
Heat pumps are a mature technology that is increasingly present in the industrial sector. It allows us to obtain thermal energy, replacing boilers powered by fossil fuels. This enables:
- It increases energy efficiency by 3 to 7 times, thereby significantly reducing energy consumption and costs.
- It significantly reduces CO2 emissions.
- It lowers maintenance expenses.
- It improves the safety and cleanliness of facilities.
How do we do it?
Any necessary visits to the client's plant are paid to identify available heat sources that can ensure the stability of thermal demand, as well as the location of heat sinks, in order to design a highly efficient grid.
The most suitable technology for the proposed heat pump (aerothermal, geothermal, etc.) is selected based on the plant's geographical location, and we choose the compression and refrigerant technology that best fits the identified needs and prioritise natural refrigerants or those with a low GWP.
We make and submit a technical and economic analysis for the client. It always factors in different energy price scenarios and provides advice on existing subsidies and various payment models tailored to their specific needs.
Climate control installations
Endesa designs and implements high-energy-efficiency climate control installations to make spaces more comfortable while reducing energy consumption and environmental impact for businesses on their path to decarbonisation. All this is particularly important if we consider that climate control installations can account for between 30% and 50% of energy consumption in this type of buildings.
From the identification of the intervention to the completion and optimised management of the proposed installation, Endesa offers your business a 'turnkey' service through flexible and personalised business models tailored to your needs.
Electrify your climate control system and accelerate your decarbonisation strategy. We have extensive experience in climate control installations with different businesses/clients: we have delivered more than 50 installations over the last 3 years, with over €15 million in completed works and 15 MW of cooling capacity installed. Projects include both investment (€5.5 million) and financing models (€9 million).
Our energy efficiency services
The main areas of energy efficiency in the tertiary sector include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as room lighting, and comfort management:
- HVAC systems: implementation of HVAC systems that optimise thermal comfort while ensuring high air quality and minimising consumption.
- Comfort management: remote management software for climate control systems to enhance comfort and reduce energy consumption.
