Solar tariffs with and without panels
Start enjoying all the advantages of solar energy, whether or not you have solar panels. At Endesa, we offer you all the options that adapt to your needs and consumption habits.
Why is Endesa's self-consumption system the best option?
Solar self-consumption is the best option for saving on your electricity bill because, as part of a solar self-consumption installation, you can contribute to the energy transition and avoid releasing emissions into the atmosphere by using of renewable, inexhaustible and environmentally friendly energies.
This is in addition to the variety of energy self-consumption solutions we offer at Endesa, ranging from the installation of solar panels to energy management, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your needs.
Compensation for surpluses
One of the regulated self-consumption options is self-consumption with surpluses, which works as follows: the energy you produce and have left over is fed into the transmission and distribution grid via the inverter so that other consumers can use it. This injected energy is called "surpluses". What is good about this type of self-consumption is that you can sell the surpluses from self-consumption that you do not use.
In return for these surpluses, customers receive compensation in the form of a discount on their bill, thus saving money. The amount of these savings depends on the kWh fed into the grid, and the compensation price applied. But this amount may not exceed the so-called compensation limit, which means that you cannot be financially compensated for more than the kWh you have consumed from the grid.
The new Solar Simply with virtual battery tariff is a great option for getting the most out of your solar panels and your surpluses. You can compensate the surpluses you generate in the invoice for the period, at a price of €0.10.
You save even when the sun is not shining
You can save more than 50% on your electricity bill by installing self-consumption solar panels on your single-family home. The more your consumption profile matches your production profile, the more savings you will have. Once you repay the initial investment of the solar panels, you may find yourself in a situation where generating your own energy is cheaper than buying it.
Fitting your home with a self-consumption solar system requires a significant initial investment. However, your installation will pay for itself from day one, thanks to the electricity savings on your bill. According to our calculations, it will be fully amortised in less than 10 years, and with the current subsidies for self-consumption, this period can be reduced to less than 5 years.

FAQs
- The energy produced that is not consumed is fed into the grid and is called "surplus".
- For each invoicing cycle, you will receive compensation for these surpluses in your bill in the form of a discount, which will result in savings. How much these savings amount to will depend on the kWh fed into the grid, and the compensation price applied. This is the advantage of selling surplus self-consumption.
- As part of the calculation of surplus compensation, there is a regulated limit known as the "compensation limit", which means that you cannot be financially compensated with a higher value than the kWh you have consumed from the grid. This limit does not always appear on your bill and only applies when the amount of energy released into the grid exceeds the amount of energy consumed from the grid.
From an economic point of view, the installation of solar and photovoltaic panels is profitable and generates savings on the electricity bill. It is estimated that the average household can save up to 60% on their yearly bill.
From an environmental point of view, having photovoltaic installations and electricity self-consumption tariffs is always a significant improvement. Savings in CO2 emissions with solar panels and in reducing your carbon footprint are essential if we are to achieve the goal of reaching carbon neutrality.
