Decarbonisation of DHW consumption
Decarbonisation is a process aimed at eliminating the use of fossil fuels as an energy source. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gases, primarily carbon dioxide emissions.
One of the main measures to promote the decarbonisation of the tertiary sector is to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy like solar energy or clean energy like electricity, both focused on generating domestic hot water (DHW).
The significant advance that heat pumps using natural refrigerants provides, as well as the improved performance of new solar panels —both thermal and hybrid— make the decarbonisation of DHW consumption in buildings a common practice. This is particularly true for energy-intensive facilities in the tertiary sector, such as: hotels, sports centres, nursing homes, and student housing.

How do we do it?
As an initial step, we visit the client's facilities and conduct a thorough analysis to determine their DHW needs and variations in consumption throughout the day (peak and valley consumption).
Once we are familiar with both the building's water system and the client's energy needs, the most suitable technology to meet DHW demand is selected based on the geographical location of the building.
After analysing the needs and selecting the right technology, a technical and economic analysis is conducted for submission to the client. Our specialised department always factors in different energy price scenarios and evaluates all existing subsidies. In addition, our clients are offered various payment models tailored to their specific needs.
