Photovoltaic system
Generate your own energy and reduce energy costs with the photovoltaic self-consumption system offered by Endesa. Solar photovoltaic energy for self-consumption will allow you to be more competitive, achieving substantial financial savings on your electricity bill while helping you meet your business' sustainability and CSR goals.
In addition to investing in your own installation, Endesa gives you the option to carry out the project without any initial investment through various Energy Service Agreement models, including renting or a PPA contract.
At Endesa, we offer a comprehensive solution through our maintenance and Energy Management System (EMS), enabling you to maximise your installation's performance and achieve additional savings by controlling your energy consumption.
How does a Solar Photovoltaic installation work?
Here's an overview of how a grid-connected self-consumption PV installation works:

- The photovoltaic panels are installed on the building's roof: this is the ideal location to 'absorb' the maximum amount of sunlight, which is then converted into electrical energy.
- They generate Direct Current electricity: the photovoltaic modules must be connected to a photovoltaic inverter to convert Direct Current into Alternating Current, ensuring compatibility with the client's internal grid.
- The system is connected to the building's internal grid: it must be linked to the building's internal grid through the existing electrical panel. The energy data from the client's installation are registered.
- The user remains connected to the conventional electrical grid: they will stay connected to the conventional grid, which will supply electricity to the building when the photovoltaic system doesn't produce enough energy to meet the client's full demand.
- The system will be monitored: the photovoltaic panel system and all required parameters need to be continuously monitored to obtain personalised information about the building's energy performance.
How does the process work?
- Initial analysis and engineering assessment: we conduct a technical-economic analysis of the installation to find the best solution, including an on-site visit and detailed engineering. We present you with different proposals, ranging from your own investment to Endesa X's investment through a Renting or PPA contract.
- Construction: we take care of coordinating the entire construction project from start to finish, including obtaining permits before the start of work, procuring equipment, and overseeing the construction itself.
- Regulatory compliance and subsidy management: we handle regulatory compliance with all the relevant entities after installation, and manage any available subsidies.
- Operation and maintenance: we ensure maximum energy savings and provide maintenance to keep your installation in perfect condition.
- Monitoring and tracking: we monitor the installation and control grid consumption, achieving additional savings through our EMS, which is included in every project.
