What is the power charge?
This is the price you pay for the electricity power rating contracted for your installation. In other words, it is the maximum amount of energy that your installation will support, let's say "simultaneously", and that you are signing up for based on your consumption, installation and use of energy.
It does not depend on consumption, it is a fixed cost and you will need more or less power depending on what your home is like.
For example, if you have large appliances and devices that need high levels of electrical power, your power capacity should be greater than it would be if, on the contrary, you only had small appliances or did not use them regularly or simultaneously.
Here is an easy-to-understand example of this concept: if you commonly blow a fuse, it means that your power capacity is insufficient and your installation does not support so many simultaneous elements, however, with the same installation, without reaching the power limit, you could consume all the energy you need without a problem.
How is the power capacity calculated?
The amount to be paid for this concept is obtained by multiplying the contracted power by the billing period and by the price of the power capacity, which depends on the type of rate.
Remember that the contracted power capacity is independent from your energy consumption.
Price of the power capacity
The price of the power capacity depends on your chosen rate, and you can easily identify it on any invoice or rate, under the concept "Contracted power" or "Power capacity".
