1. Identification of the company that issues your bill, your Sales Company
This section shows the logo, corporate name, tax identification number and registered address of Endesa Energía, your Sales Company. It also informs you that it is a gas bill.
2. Bill details
This section includes the main details you will need should you wish to submit a query concerning this bill:
Bill number: tax identification number for this bill.
Reference: this is the code for this bill. It is made up of the contract number, followed by the relevant bill sequence number.
Bill issue date: the date on which this bill was issued.
Payment date: the day on which this bill will be processed for payment.
Billing period: time interval billed.
3. Name and address of the bill receiver
This includes the personal details (name and address) of the contract titleholder; the person that receives the bill.

4. Bill summary and payment details
This includes a summary of the items billed and the total sum of your bill. You will find an explanation of how each item is calculated on the back of your bill under the Bill itemisation section.
Energy: total sum that you pay for the energy consumed, i.e., for your gas consumption.
Services and other items: this includes the discounts (if applicable) applied to the type of gas contract you have. It also includes other items such as the lease of the gas metering equipment and the Hydrocarbons Tax*.
Tax applied: this outlines the cost of renting the metering and controlling equipment.
- Applicable tax: VAT (Value Added Tax) is applied or IGIC (Canary Island General Indirect Tax) as applicable.
Total Bill Amount: this is the total amount to be paid including taxes.
If you pay by direct debit: it will indicate the account number to which the bill payment will be charged and the date on which it will be charged.
If you do not pay by direct debit: it will include a bar code for you to pay your bill over the counter.
(*)Hydrocarbons tax: hydrocarbons tax for all gas consumers. This was applied to consumption when it came into force on 1 January 2013 and the tax rate may be general or reduced depending on the consumption use:
Domestic use – General tax (0,00234€/kWh).
Professional use – Reduced tax (0,00054€/kWh).
5. Gas consumption information
This shows your meter’s current reading and the previous reading. It also includes a bar chart illustrating your consumption log on the indicated dates. Gas consumption is measured in cubic metres, but billed in kilowatts hour. The m3 to kWh conversion is carried out via the calorific value conversion factor.
6. Customised and exclusive offers for you
Your bill may include one or more sheets of personalised, exclusive advertising for you. It will differ depending on the different Endesa promotions applicable when your bill is issued.
7. Contract details
This section includes the main details of the contract titleholder and other details of interest concerning your contract.
Main details of the contract titleholder: name and tax identification number.
Point of supply address: contract postal address for this bill.
Contracted product: name of the contract tariff applicable to this bill.
Type of gas: type of gas supplied.
Meter number: this is the meter identifier number that the Distribution Company uses to measure your consumed energy.
Your Sales Company: name of the Sales company (the company you have your contract with), in this case, Endesa Energía S.A.U.
Your Distribution Company: name of the Distribution company (in charge of supplying power to your home or business premises).
Access toll: this is the tariff paid by the Sales Company to the Distribution Company for using the distribution network. This tariff is established by the Government.
End date for the supply contract: date on which this contract ends. This information is merely a reminder for information purposes only. The contract is automatically renewed on a yearly basis unless otherwise specified.
8. Bill itemisation
Includes a breakdown and explanation of how the different items on your bill are calculated:
Gas power unit: total sum you pay for the energy consumed. This is calculated by multiplying the consumption in kWh by the kWh price.
Fixed Term: total sum that you pay for the contracted tariff. This is a fixed price established according to your product’s tariff. This is calculated by multiplying the volume in m3 by the kW price/day.
Discount percentage on the fixed term or on the power unit: this indicates the discount percentage and the base on which it is applied, according to the product you have contracted with your Sales Company.
Lease of equipment: cost of leasing the metering equipment.
Hydrocarbons tax: hydrocarbons tax for all gas consumers. This was applied to consumption when it came into force on 1 January 2013 and the tax rate may be general or reduced depending on the consumption use:
Domestic use – General tax (0,00234€/kWh).
Professional use – Reduced tax (0,00054€/kWh).
VAT o IGIC:
VAT: Value Added Tax.
IGIC: the General Indirect Tax in the Canary Islands. This is applied in the Canary Islands instead of VAT.
