Madrid, 14 April 2026 – Starting today, Tuesday 14 April, and during the 3 weeks it will be running, Cancha Solidaria Endesa will collect funds for the five winning projects of this year's edition. Through the logic of match funding, Endesa will match the first €2,500 raised by each project, making a total donation of up to €10,000 for each of them.
Cancha Solidaria Endesa is part of the purpose-driven sponsorship strategy that the company has been developing in basketball for over 10 years. Specifically, this programme listens to the basketball fan community to gather their best social change projects, help them grow, and turn them into reality.
Last year, Cancha Solidaria Endesa focused on helping initiatives aimed at recovering from the damage caused by the DANA storm in Valencia within the world of basketball. This year, five winners spread across Spain have been chosen. They are as follows:
- Lluïsos de Gràcia and “Volem jugar a casa”: this historic organisation in Barcelona's Gracia neighbourhood needs to renovate and improve the facilities of the club, which has been living and breathing basketball for over 80 years.
- Hoops Outside and “Floreciendo”: a creative studio dedicated to reviving basketball courts through art wants to renovate a community space in Alicante.
- Movistar Estudiantes and “Escuela Inclusiva”: in the heart of one of our country's great basketball clubs, an adapted school so that there are no barriers when it comes to enjoying basketball.
- Club Baloncesto Gran Canaria and “Proyecto Carmen”: former player Rosi Sánchez leads a project open to women who are or have been oncology patients.
- Club Baloncesto Breogán of Lugo and “Proyecto Ícaro”: a programme that uses basketball as a tool to integrate boys and girls at risk of social exclusion.
For three weeks, the organisers must mobilise the Basket Lover community to turn social support into real funding to make their initiatives a reality.
To further encourage contributions, donors will be eligible for individual and exclusive rewards, accessing exclusive experiences and unique, personalised merchandising, thanks to Endesa's collaboration with the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and the Association of Basketball Clubs (acb).
In addition to financial backing, the participants have personalised advice through match funding experts who accompany the organisers in every phase of the campaign to maximise their chances of success. The platform, designed to be accessible and effective, facilitates the management of donations and the dissemination of the projects, connecting the organisers with a local and national support network.
The Cancha Solidaria Endesa model also guarantees secure and transparent payment processing, thanks to collaboration with specialised platforms that ensure the proper handling of transactions and the protection of collaborators.
Cancha Solidaria Endesa continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark platform in promoting basketball-related projects thanks to an innovative model that combines financial support, professional guidance, and the direct involvement of the community.
