The calculator compares the real cost of driving your current car with an equivalent electric one, using your consumption data and annual mileage.
Enter how many litres your car consumes per 100 km and how many kilometres you drive a year. With these two figures, the tool calculates what you currently pay for fuel and what you would pay to charge at home with the Recarga en Casa tariff. The difference is your estimated annual savings.
If you want to fine-tune the result, you can adjust the current price of petrol or diesel and the price per kWh according to your tariff. By default, we use the average petrol price in Spain in 2026 and the price of Endesa's Recarga en Casa tariff at that time.
No. With the Recarga en Casa Tariff you can plug in your car whenever you want, at any time of the day or night. The monthly fee covers the energy to drive around 15,000 km a year, regardless of when you charge. No time bands, no restrictions, and compatible with all chargers and EV models. View tariff.
If you drive fewer kilometres in a month and don't consume all the energy included in your fee, the leftover energy doesn't roll over to the next month, but it will cover your home's electricity consumption at no extra cost.
It depends on your annual mileage and whether you can charge at home. For drivers who cover more than 12,000 km a year and have access to home charging, the savings in fuel and maintenance usually offset the higher purchase price within 4 to 6 years.
If you prefer not to make the initial investment, electric car leasing offers a direct comparison from the very first month: a fixed monthly fee, no deposit, and maintenance included. View leasing options.

Yes, and it’s actually much easier than you might think. Switching electricity suppliers is free of charge, with no penalties and no interruption to your electricity supply. Once you have signed up for the new tariff, it will be activated in under 24 hours. View tariff.
The Auto+ Plan is the Spanish Government's grant scheme for purchasing new electric vehicles. It includes a direct discount of up to €9,000 off the vehicle's price if you scrap an old one, and up to €4,500 without scrapping. The dealership processes the grant at the time of purchase, so you don't need to do any additional paperwork. View Auto+ Plan.
No. The calculator shows the fuel and maintenance savings once you already have the electric car. The Auto+ Plan grants provide additional savings at the time of purchase, with a direct discount of up to €9,000 on the vehicle's price, which is managed by the dealership.
It is not essential, but it makes a huge difference. Charging at home with an electricity tariff designed for your electric car can cost up to 5 times less than using a fast public charger.
If you have a private garage or a parking space in a block of flats, installation is straightforward: since 2019, you have had the legal right to install your own charging point without needing approval from the residents' association. The cost starts at €1,099 including installation, and you can apply a 15% income tax (IRPF) deduction to the cost on your tax return. View chargers.
Yes. Since 2019, the law has recognised the right of any owner to install a charging point in their communal parking space. You simply have to notify the president or property manager of the residents' association in writing – meaning you do not need their approval or a vote at a residents' meeting. A certified installer will take care of the rest. View chargers.
Spain's public charging network already exceeds 20,000 points and continues to grow. With the public charging option included in the electric car tariff + charger offer, you get access to the network with the first year free. View tariff + charger offer.
Once you have signed up, the entire process (technical visit, installation, and legalisation) is usually completed in under 15 days. It is often quicker in a private garage. We coordinate everything: you don't have to find an installer or organise the permits.
Electric car leasing allows you to drive an electric car for a fixed monthly fee that includes insurance, maintenance, and breakdown cover, with no initial outlay and no worries about vehicle depreciation. It is the easiest way to switch to electric without taking on the risk of buying. View leasing.
Combined with the Recarga tariff and a home charger, the savings compared to owning a petrol car can exceed €150 a month.
(*) With Endesa Energía’s "Recarga en Casa Tariff", for €0.8219/day excluding taxes, you will be entitled to up to 216.99 kWh for a standard 30-day billing period (equivalent to a charge of €31.35 including taxes in Mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, and €26.69 in the Canary Islands) for contracts entered into up to 14/07/2026. Any kWh consumed during a billing period in excess of the energy allowance included in the charge will be billed at the energy rate applicable to the "Recarga en Casa Tariff", with a 10% discount on the energy rate for the duration of the contract. In addition, and only for customers switching from electricity suppliers other than Endesa Energía, a further 10% discount will apply during the first year of the contract. The kWh included in the charge for each billing period may not exceed 60% of the total kWh consumed during that period. Any consumption above this 60% threshold will be billed at the "Recarga en Casa Tariff" energy rate, subject to any applicable discounts. Where the "Recarga en Casa Tariff" from Endesa Energía is contracted together with an Endesa X Way charging point, an indefinite 30% discount will be applied to the "Recarga en Casa Tariff" charge (equivalent to a charge of €21.95 including taxes in Mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, and €18.69 in the Canary Islands). For regulatory purposes, full consumption of the kWh included in the charge does not guarantee that all such consumption is attributable to charging your vehicle. The consumption figures used have been calculated in accordance with the IDAE methodology dated 19/05/2025, based on an average electric vehicle consumption of approximately 17.6 kWh per 100 km. Accordingly, 216.99 kWh per month would be equivalent to 1,250 km per month or 15,000 km per year. For the remaining terms and conditions, please visit www.endesa.com.
