- Sixty innovative, restless young people who swim against the current will be selected; in short, youngsters who are "salmon". The Endesa Foundation will award them a scholarship that covers 95% of the cost of the programme.

BYG, the training project developed by the Endesa Foundation and the What Really Matters Foundation, is launching its Professional Accelerator to provide 60 young people with the necessary tools to access the national and international employment market and have a positive impact on society and the future.
Divided into groups, the participants in the Professional Accelerator will have to solve four Innovation challenges using agile and design thinking methodologies. The teams will also have experienced mentors from various sectors who will guide and help them to solve each of the challenges.
Francisco Gutiérrez, CDO of Scalpers, Ana Gómez, Head of Agencies of TikTok, Antonio Espinosa de los Monteros, CEO of Auara and María Gómez del Pozuelo, CEO and founder of Womenalia, will contribute their expertise as leaders in the fashion, social media, social enterprise and professional networking sectors.
In addition, Isabel Buesa, General Manager of Endesa in Catalonia and Patron of the Endesa Foundation, Luis Miguel Olivas, Director of Employability and Innovation in Education at the Telefónica Foundation, Arancha Martínez, founder of The Common Good Chain and founder and chairwoman of itwillbe.org, and Iñigo Juantegui, founder of la Nevera Roja and Ontruck, will share their extensive knowledge in the areas of telecommunications, innovation, blockchain, social entrepreneurship, hospitality, logistics, sustainability and energy.
Javier Blanco, General Manager of the Endesa Foundation, emphasises that "with the launch of the BYG Professional Accelerator, we aim to shine a light on the talent and ideas of young people who want to change the world, helping them to make these ideas a reality and providing the necessary tools to succeed”. María Franco, General Manager of the What Really Matters Foundation, adds that "these young people will not only enjoy a unique experience that will help them get to know themselves better and unlock all of their talents but will also have the opportunity to interact with other young people and listen to inspiring stories that will undoubtedly enable them to discover the best version of themselves to be able to have an impact on their professional environment”.
The professional accelerator will be launched in February 2022 and will conclude at the end June in an in-person Campus, where the teams involved will present their final projects to a jury that will choose the team that has found the best solution to the challenges posed based on criteria such as their real implementation potential, originality and innovativeness.
Participants must be resident in Spain, be in one of the last two years of university studies or professional training, have no more than two years of professional experience and have experiences of initiatives with a social impact. Applicants' academic records and interest and involvement in initiatives with a social impact will be taken into account and every effort will be made to ensure diversity and equality among the young people selected. The deadline for applications is 9 January 2022.
