Aena S.A. is a state-owned company managing general interest airports and heliports in Spain. Through its subsidiary, Aena Internacional, it also manages 16 airports around the world. As a whole, it is the world’s number one airport operator in terms of passenger traffic. More than 590 million people passed through Spanish airports over the last three years. In 2015 alone, the airports within the Aena network handled over 207 million passengers, representing a 5.9% increase compared to the previous year.
This renewed contract corroborates the trust placed in the power company by Aena and consolidates Endesa's position in the Large Consumer segment.
