- Endesa has been awarded the "Best Product of the Year 2024" award for its Happy Tariff in the 19th edition of the "Product of the Year" evaluation and awards system.
- The Happy Tariff is an innovative tariff where the customer can choose the day of the week when they consume the most electricity so that it can be completely free. It is a flexible solution that adapts to the needs of the consumer, who can choose between one day a week free of charge or two days at 50%.
- This tariff is based on the customers' actual consumption data. Smart meters and the associated technology enable customers to find out on which day of the week they have the highest consumption and choose it as their day for free electricity consumption under the Happy Tariff.
The Happy Tariff was chosen as the "2024 Product of the Year" in the Energy category. The acknowledgment of the tariff strengthens the innovative approach to electricity consumption management by enabling customers to have a personalised experience that is adapted to their needs.
The "Product of the Year" award is the only award system that assesses products from each sector of activity that stand out by being innovative, and they are rated directly by consumers. The market is highly aware of this award and it has 81% acknowledgment. This is, therefore, an important recognition for Endesa.
The Happy Tariff, with 100% renewable energy, aims to give the consumer the power to choose the following: One day of free electricity a week, 52 days a year.
This proposal underlines Endesa's position with regard to innovation, as it is a pioneer in offering a tariff based on daily consumption data from customers' smart meters.
Endesa also offers transparency and assessment, providing customers with detailed information on their daily consumption, personalised assessment to help them select the days when their consumption is highest and suggestions to maximise savings on their Happy Tariff days. And as routines change, consumers will be able to change the day or days chosen every three months.
Endesa was also recently chosen by Portuguese consumers as the "No. 1 brand preferred by consumers" in the category of "Energy and services for domestic use" in the 12th edition of the "Consumer Choice" awards.
For Inés Roque, Manager of Residential and Business in Portugal (B2C), "The Happy Tariff adapts to the needs of each household and the way in which our customers consume energy. It is the only one that enables customers not to pay for electricity on the day of the week when they consume the most. Its innovative nature is evident when it is recognised as "Product of the Year 2024" by consumers. This new award shows that Endesa is on the right track and it is also a motivation to continue innovating and bringing to the market solutions that help people to be more efficient."
Endesa also has other solutions that adapt to the consumption patterns of all types of customers, such as the Anniversary tariff that offers one invoice completely free of charge every year, indefinitely.
