- This agreement was signed as a result of the commitment of both entities to the promotion of talent and cultural education.
- The Endesa Foundation will collaborate with a "Music and Leadership" programme, with the aim of promoting the employability of senior citizens and young people and developing the professional and leadership skills of Endesa employees, and an open-air concert for families, in order to enable the most vulnerable groups to enjoy culture.
As a result of the Endesa Foundation's commitment to making the culture of our country visible and accessible to everyone, a collaboration agreement was signed with the Albéniz Foundation today with the aim of bringing music closer to the most vulnerable groups.
The event was attended by Paloma O'Shea, president of the Reina Sofía School of Music, and Javier Blanco, general director of the Endesa Foundation.
The Endesa Foundation will support the organisation of a workshop on "Music and Leadership", an innovative programme by the Reina Sofía School of Music in which a number of aspects such as "agile" methodology and purpose, key concepts in the workplace today, are approached from the perspective of music. This workshop will be for groups participating in Endesa Foundation programmes such as SAVIA, designed for senior citizens, and BYG, designed young people, as well as Endesa employees with an interest in developing their professional skills and leadership.
This collaboration will also feature a free outdoor concert for families, with the aim of bringing music education and quality music to children and to the public in general. As well as the concert, there will also be a pedagogical and games workshop for children. Both initiatives share the objective of promoting employability and, in the case of Music and Leadership, this will be achieved by developing professional skills through music.
"The Endesa Foundation would like to promote, recover and preserve culture and art in all its different facets. This collaboration agreement is part of our commitment to those groups with whom we work and who need us most and our ultimate goal is to build a society with equal opportunities for all", said Javier Blanco.
For the Reina Sofía School of Music, a bookmark international centre for teaching young musicians that each year has 150 students of more than 30 nationalities, the incorporation of this new sponsor is a very important support to continue to meet its two founding objectives, to support the most talented young people in their personal and artistic development; and to enable people of all ages to enjoy the best music.
"Everything we do at the Reina Sofía School is based on our conviction that music has enormous power to transform people and societies. "The collaboration we started today with Endesa will enable us to bring the benefit of music to people who need it and that gives me great satisfaction," said Paloma O'Shea.
