Fundación Endesa has launched a new edition of Endesa Educa Digital, the online educational platform of the Endesa Educa project, which offers free and interactive resources to teach young people about the world of energy, its responsible use, and environmental care. Aimed at 3rd and 4th grade Primary Education students in schools across Spain, Endesa Educa Digital makes learning practical and accessible, with no geographical limitations, while having fun.
Endesa Educa Digital presents students with a mission: to spread knowledge about the energy world among younger generations. To achieve this, the program will give the first 1,000 teachers who sign up an experimentation kit, which includes materials such as turbines, batteries, and cardboard cutouts, among others. These kits will be used in the classroom to allow students to participate in two missions: one on renewable energy and another on sustainable mobility. Additionally, the initiative seeks to promote teamwork and the development of communication skills, critical thinking, and civic competencies.
All registered schools will have the chance to participate in a contest, with a 2,000-euro prize to improve the equipment or electrical infrastructure of the educational center.
This edition of the platform includes improvements to make teaching even more accessible and engaging by integrating new interactive content such as videos and tutorials, which will help introduce these concepts in the classroom.
Since the launch of Endesa Educa Digital in 2019, more than 86,600 students from 1,564 schools have enhanced their energy knowledge, with more than 1,800 teachers guiding them through the process.
This platform is part of the Endesa Educa educational project, through which Fundación Endesa has been teaching about the world of energy and promoting energy savings in classrooms across Spain for over 20 years. The platform also offers a wide range of free educational resources on its website, enabling learning to continue both in the classroom and at home. It also organizes in-person workshops at schools and offers students and teachers the opportunity to visit Endesa’s renewable energy facilities.
Teachers interested in participating in Endesa Educa Digital and receiving one of the 1,000 experimentation kits for this edition can now sign up through this link.
