The Endesa Foundation continues to promote responsible energy consumption and care for the environment in classroom through educational programmes such as ‘Endesa Educa Digital’. The project consists of a 100% interactive, online and free platform, aimed at teachers and students of 3rd and 4th grade of Primary Schools that uses gamification to raise awareness about the importance of the responsible use of energy, thus facilitating learning for little ones while having fun.
Endesa Educa Digital is developed in a digital environment for teachers, which allows this programme to be implemented with total time and geographical flexibility, adapting to the needs and characteristics of each group. It is designed in several stages: preliminary training for teachers through explanatory videos, a teaching guide so that they can develop the activities autonomously, an intercollegiate contest, and a last stage in which they can continue learning about energy and enjoying this initiative.
Through challenges and tests of a scientific nature, the participating students will be able to develop skills such as oral and written communication, information processing and social and civic skills. It is based on an original and motivating story, in which they will meet the "Energy Corps," energy superheroes, such as Commander Estela and Pilot Ray, who travel the galaxy recruiting agents to complete missions to generate electricity and create new forms of mobility to prepare for the final mission: Save the World, participate in a contest between schools and opt for one of the three prizes offered by the programme to the winning centres.
The total prize fund is € 6,000 (€ 2,000, € 3,000 and € 1,000 respectively) aimed at improving the equipment or electrical infrastructure of the winning centres and contributing to improving their energy efficiency. In addition, the three schools that are finalists will obtain a prize of an educational experience in the classroom for all participating students.
