- With this initiative, and since its launch in 2019, more than 58,000 students and 1,400 teachers from 1,100 schools in our country have learned about the world of energy.
- The registration period for this new edition of Endesa Educa Digital is now open. The first 1,000 teachers to sign up will receive the program's experimentation kits.
The Endesa Foundation launched a new edition of its educational programme entitled Endesa Educa Digital, which promotes responsible energy consumption and care for the environment in classrooms by means of a free, 100% interactive, online platform. This initiative was launched in 2019 and is part of Endesa Educa, one of the most iconic projects of the Endesa Foundation. For more than 20 years, it has been used to disseminate knowledge about the world of energy among young people.
Endesa Educa Digital is an online platform designed for teachers and Year 3 and Year 4 pupils throughout Spain. It uses a gamification methodology to make it easier to learn about the importance of responsible energy use while having fun at the same time. This format also enables the programme to be easily implemented in the classroom and tailored to the needs and characteristics of each group.
Each teacher registered in Endesa Educa Digital will receive an educational kit containing materials such as turbines, batteries, cardboard die-cuts, etc, so they can assemble them together with their students in the classroom and complete the two missions together, one on renewable energies and the other on mobility, while developing their oral and written communication skills and their social and civic responsibilities.
In this edition, the number of kits has been doubled to 1,000 units compared to last year. To receive a kit, teachers need to register on the Endesa Foundation website and fill in a short form.
All the schools who have registered will be able to participate in a competition and compete for a prize of €2,000, which will have to be used to improve the equipment or electrical infrastructure of the school.
The Endesa Foundation also makes available a large collection of free online educational resources to learn about energy both in the classroom and at home, and offers the opportunity to take guided tours of Endesa's renewable energy installations.
