Kia Iberia and Endesa X, a benchmark company in energy services and electric mobility solutions, announced their collaboration in order to encourage the customers of the Korean brand to make the leap to electric mobility.
Under the agreement between the two brands, Kia customers who purchase a 100% electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle will be able to access an offer for products and services aimed at providing the best charging experience.
This turnkey offer includes the unlimited installation of the new JuiceBox charger at a fixed price with which customers can access a safe, simple and smart charging experience:
- Increased connectivity: The JuiceBox is connected to the Endesa X charging app (JuicePass), which will enable customers to manage ALL the recharges for their vehicle from their mobile phone, both those made at home and those on the Endesa X public network.
- More technological: This charger is available in single-phase or three-phase versions, and even with power balancing capacity (it enables you to take advantage of the maximum power in accordance with what is being consumed at all times at home).
- Faster and more convenient: It can charge with up to a power of 7.4kW (capable of adding about 100km of autonomy in about three hours) and has an integrated cable to make daily recharging easier.
In addition to the vehicle and the charger with its installation, customers have access to the most competitive tariffs for recharging both at home and away from home:
- At home: customers can contract the Tempo Zero Electric Vehicle tariff for their home, with which they can charge at night (from 1h to 7h) at zero cost for some 10,000km* per year and the energy also has a certificate of renewable origin. The connectivity of the vehicles and the charging app makes night charging is easy to programme.
- Away from home: The package includes up to 4,000 km free (depending on average consumption**). Endesa X already has more than 2,500 public access chargers throughout Spain and is continuing to work to expand its network throughout the country. The JuicePass will enable access to detailed information on Endesa X's public charging network, as well as how to make a booking for a charging station, control, adjust and schedule charging sessions from anywhere.
To summarise, the offer of products and services contracted when purchasing an Endesa X charging station includes:
- JuiceBox charger up to 7.4kW with integrated Type 2 connector and electrical protections in accordance with regulations: https://youtu.be/qPmVOCOqd4Y.
- Access to Endesa's Tempo Zero electricity tariff designed for recharging at home: Recharges at €0 from 1 to 7 am (up to 125kWh/month).
- 4,000 km free for recharges on the Endesa X public network depending on average consumption**.
- Complete installation with no limit to the metres of wiring and distance between floors (in community car parks).
- Current clamp for power balancing.
- Professional electrical installation certificate.
- 2-year guarantee on the equipment and the installation.
- Customer service by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The alliance between Kia Iberia and Endesa X will represent major promotion for new electric mobility in Spain, since it brings together two companies with broad experience in electrification.
For Davide Ciciliato, General Manager of Endesa X, "electric vehicles and their recharging are an inseparable tandem, which is why we are working on finding market solutions and major partners like KIA to make it easier for customers to change to electric mobility. This road towards a more sustainable transport model is something that we cannot do alone and working together we will be able to make consumers aware that today this can be an option for the present and not for the future".
In the words of Eduardo Divar, General Manager of Kia Iberia, "Today one of the main barriers preventing a customer from deciding on an electric car is the charging infrastructure, both Kia and Endesa X are very aware of this and that is why we have joined forces to make it easy for them and help them make the change to electric mobility".
Kia currently has one of the widest ranges of electric vehicles on the market where it has 100% electric vehicles with up to 528km of autonomy, plug-in hybrids and hybrids. This offer has just been strengthened with the recent launch of the Kia EV6, a new all-electric model that has an incredible electric autonomy of 528 kilometres on a single charge, zero emissions, ultra-fast 800 V charging and a distinctive style.
Kia's strategy is based on electrification and there is a projected range of 11 electric models by 2026, the launch of new sustainable mobility systems for people and the marketing of so-called Purpose-Built Vehicles (PBVs).
