Going back to the classroom to inspire. And to share their passion for STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).
This is the main objective of Back to School, the new initiative we launched within the framework of the application of our Diversity and Inclusion policy and the promotion of gender equality in all areas of the company,
Our technical professionals will return to their high schools to pass on the baton to the students of 1st and 2nd year of Baccalaureate. Excited, they will share their personal experience and the importance of science and technology for the future. According to the European Commission, 1.75 million new professions in IT (Information Technology) are expected by 2030. And in this future, women's participation is key to the sustainable growth of countries.
Our commitment goes further. Endesa will pay the cost of the first year of University of one of the students who participate in this initiative and who have chosen a STEAM Degree for the next academic year. To do this, we will launch a challenge to which they will have to respond with their most innovative and original ideas. This challenge will be associated with three pillars: building a future in the educational environment, optimising resources and helping people in situations of inequality.
