Within Endesa’s Sustainability Plan (PES 2019-2021), we have established a group of goals intended to promote the reduction of CO2 emissions in our generation and distribution businesses, and in fleets and offices.
At Endesa, we assume as our own Enel Group’s objective of being "carbon neutral" by the year 2050, and we have established other intermediate objectives for the year 2020:
- Reaching 56% of production free from CO2.
- Reducing the specific CO2 emissions by 52% with respect to 2005.
Reduce electricity losses, according to OS criteria (measured in substation bars) by 8% in 2021 compared to 2018.
Fleets and offices
- To reduce CO2 emissions in the fleet by 17% in 2021 with respect to 2018 through the progressive electrification of the fleet, promotion of a more efficient management of it.
- Reduce CO2 emissions in its buildings by 17% with respect to 2018 by reducing electricity consumption and more efficient space management.
In addition, at Endesa, we promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions among our customers: homes, small and medium businesses, and large corporations.
To do so, we sell a group of products and services in the environment of energy efficiency, renewable energies and digitalisation. This entails a reduction of emissions, economic savings and improvements of operating and/or energy efficiency.
