Opera for all audiences
We want to make opera accessible to all audiences, divesting it of everything that may make it seem of interest only to a select few. To do this, we take opera onto the street by showing some of the principal works in the programme of Madrid's Teatro Real on giant screens and online. It is an initiative that has brought some of the great musical masterpieces to more than five million people.
The audience is centre stage: ymás
ymás is an initiative promoted by figures from the world of culture to put the public centre stage in the best cultural experiences. With ymás we organise experiences that no one else can offer, such as the opportunity to attend premieres, previews and dress rehearsals, make dressing room, stage and backstage visits and talk with actors, directors, musicians, writers and screenwriters, in this way gaining authentic insights into how film, theatre, music and literature are made.
