ZEM2ALL travels 4.6 million kilometers and prevents the emission of 330 Tn CO2 into the atmosphere

• The Zero Emission Mobility to All (ZEM2ALL) programme was introduced four years ago for the  mass testing of the new e-mobility services and  their benefits, in the city of Malaga, deploying a fleet of 200 electric vehicles, with 220 conventional-charging and 23 rapid-charging points. 
• The project has obtained a high rating in participant satisfaction surveys: 94% are satisfied or very satisfied and 97% of the respondents say the services  have met or exceeded their initial expectations.
• 85% of the participants have decided to keep the vehicle at the end of the project; 91% think that they have saved money every month with its use and in general frated  their experience as 8.38/10.

The end of the ZEM2ALL (Zero Emission Mobility to All) project, the largest e-mobility pilot project in Spain, was marked by an event.  attended by the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, the General Marketing Director of Endesa, Javier Uriarte, the Executive Director of NEDO, Makoto Watanabe, the rest of the representatives of the consortium, and project participants,which  announced the main conclusions reached during its development in Malaga.

For the last four years, ZEM2ALL has served as  genuine evidence of the success of e-mobility  and its acceptance by the public, and it has permitted the evaluation of its impact in terms of pollution emissions and energy consumption in a community. After four years, 4.6 million kilometers have been  travelled with zero emissions, over 100,000 charges have been made, preventing the emission of 330Tn CO2 into the atmosphere, equivalent to the annual consumption  of 50 households. 

The project has obtained a high rating in participant satisfaction surveys: 94% are satisfied or very satisfied and 97% of the respondents said the project met or exceeded their initial expectations. Currently, 85% of the participants have decided to keep the vehicle at the end of the project; 91% think that they have saved money every month with  its use and in general give their experience a rating of 8.38/10.

Endesa has taken the lead in Spain in the Zem2All project, , where Telefónica and Ayesa have also collaborated; and in Japan Mitsubishi Corporation has taken charge of the project, together with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi.

The city of Malaga was chosen for the deployment for its support for the development of the smart cities concept and for having already been the location of the “Smartcity Malaga” project, also led by Endesa, which aimed to develop a new energy management model in large cities, taking maximum  advantage of the new technologies  of e-mobility and smart electric infrastructure.

The project was the result of an agreement signed in Japan between Endesa and Mitsubishi Corporation, submitted within the scope of the Spanish-Japanese collaboration programme JSIP (Japan Spain Innovation Program). The programme is developed in Japan by NEDO (New energy and industrial technology Development Organization), that is the public organisation for the development of industrial technology and new energies of Japan, and in Spain, the CDTI (Centre for Industrial Technological Development).
