How to activate a power supply when there is no connection to the power grid?
If you need a power supply in a home or premises that has no connection to the power grid, you can make a request to Endesa for a connection and a power contract all at once. At the moment we can only provide this service for permanent low-voltage supplies with service capacity lower than 15kW and whose distributor is e-Distribución.
Does your area belong to another distributor? Don't worry, we are working to make it possible to provide this service with other distributors.
The steps to take are simple; we explain what they are below. The first thing you need to do is fill in the application for a new connection from our website. Below we show you what it looks like and we explain how to fill it in.
Depending on the characteristics of the new connection you are requesting, you may receive a price quote immediately or after a few days. According to regulations, it will be the Distributor who sends you this email from the email address connections.edistribucion@enel.com. In this email you will find the technical and financial conditions (the cost estimate) to make the connection to the network and information on how to make the payment if you accept the conditions.
Remember that in order for the Distributor to connect you to the network you need to have all the relevant authorisations and permits, have all the installation work done inside the building, and pass the facility verification that the Distributor is obligated to do.
When the Distributor finishes the connection work, it will also inform you by email that the supply point is ready to activate the contract and will give you the CUPS number. At this time we will call you to confirm that everything is correct and to formalise the contract. After that, within a maximum period of 7 business days, you will have electricity at your home or premises.
Below, we explain each of the steps on the form to clear up any questions.
First, you will have to tell us in which autonomous community your new supply is located. We need this data because at the moment we can only manage the supplies whose distributor is e-Distribución. You will also need to tell us if it is in an urban or rural area (if you need electricity on a rural plot). The necessary data are the same for any area; the difference is that, on a rural property the distributor will need more time to offer you the cost estimate.
Step 1 of 5 - Contract holder data
State whether you are an individual or a Business and then fill in your personal data: name, surname, type of identification document, document number, email, ... The request must be filled in by the person who will be the holder of the supply contract.
All fields are required Once you have completed it, if everything is correct, the button for the next step will be enabled.
Step 2 of 5 - Address
Now you have to tell us the address you want to register the supply for. If your address does not appear and you cannot continue, send us an email to registros-nnss@endesa.com with all your data to help with the request.
Once the address is located, click on the next step.
Step 3 of 5 - Supply data to be activated
This step of the form is very technical: here you must tell us the technical specifications of your supply.
You can ask your electrical installer for help answering the technical questions: if a renovation of the common areas of a building is required (that is, the common space where the meters are), as well as whether the supply feeds a building.
The necessary data are its location, the service capacity of the supply, what you will use the supply for and the floor space of your home or premises. The service capacity must be less than or equal to the maximum supported by the facility, and this will be used to base all calculations of registration fee payments: extension and access rights.
Click on Next step when you have completed everything.
Step 4 of 5 - Confirmation
Here you will have to provide us with the bank account number you will use to pay for your electricity contract.
We will not take any payment from it, it is just to have all the necessary data to complete the contract, and thus expedite all the procedures so that you have a power supply as soon as possible.
You will also need to indicate what service capacity you want to activate, which has to be less than or equal to what you have requested for your installation, and this will be used as the basis of the calculation of your electricity bill.
And finally, you need to sign the confirmation so we can send the request to the distributor. Before signing the document, you can download it to verify that everything is correct. The document shows your data, the supply data, and our data.
It's very easy. If you are doing the request on a computer, you can sign with the mouse, and if you are doing it on a mobile or Tablet, you can sign with your finger.
Once you have completed everything, click on Next step.
Step 5 of 5 - Summary
Everything is ready! Depending on your area we can tell you the cost estimate at this time. And check your inbox, because you will have an email from ncdistribucion@enel.com with the cost estimate and instructions to accept it.
If it has not been possible to provide a cost estimate, don't worry, there is nothing wrong. Your distributor needs a little more time to calculate it. In the next few days, you will receive it via email.
From here you can download the document that we have sent to the distributor with your signature.
