Our motivation is the same that brought us to basketball. Music has the power to transform which is an essential feature of Endesa. Our support is not restricted to those travelling with us. We support sustainable events, festivals that do not use plastics, to develop ecological awareness that is compatible with all types of artistic expression. In short, we are committed to progressing together.
El Jardín de las Delicias
And as proof of this, Endesa has become a sustainable sponsor of El Jardín de las Delicias, a festival created in 2018 and that generated a huge impact right from the start. El Jardín de las Delicias is an all-embracing experience that combines the best Spanish music with the finest gastronomy and recalling a painting by El Bosco through spectacular performances; the magic was enjoyed by over 38,000 people.
After having two editions suspended due to the pandemic, El Jardín de las Delicias is back, promoted by Endesa and stronger than ever. Dates for the festival have been confirmed for Madrid (23-24 September at the Universidad Complutense) and the line-up confirmed: Izal, Rozalén, Leiva, Miss Cafeína, Nil Moliner, Marlon, Yarea, Ganges, Pol 3.14, Kisko Espinosa, Moreno, Dani Fernández, Álvaro de Luna, Veintiuno. But, El Jardín wants to take it one step further: To meet the demand of Spanish music lovers everywhere, this spring it will go on tour for the first time.
To start with, as an aperitif for what will be an unforgettable year for music, El Jardín de las Delicias will be present at the Basketball "Copa del Rey" which will take place in Granada (17-20 February). During the basketball festival there will be performances by bands and DJs that represent the spirit of the festival and its support of Spanish music. There will be performances by artists who will immerse us in a magical atmosphere that reminds us of the painting by El Bosco.
Endesa and music
As many music lovers will know, our passion goes back a long way. In 2021, Endesa renewed its commitment to promote Palau Digital, the online platform of the Palau de la Música Catalana that since 2019 has been offering open and free concerts and content related to its cultural activity. The aim has always been to make culture accessible, to bring it closer to people. This brought about an agreement with the Teatro Real to bring opera out onto the street with projections of works on giant screens. The hashtag #LaEnergiadelaCultura has been a boom for this and other initiatives.
The creation of Endesa Music Lover will be accompanied by accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram that will be used to publish news, interact with the community and organise raffles for tickets. The aim is for more and more people to share music's energy and its power of transformation. Endesa proposes to do this without restrictions. in the words of Leiva,
