Guillermo Alonso Olarra
Born in Bilbao in 1963. Bachelor's in Law from Deusto University (1986).
Career Path
- He has served as an arbitrator in arbitration proceedings before the courts of several Spanish Chambers of Commerce and Arbitration Panels of Bar Associations.
- He was a director of Iberdrola Distribución Eléctrica S.A. (currently I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes S.A.U.) from 2011 to 2018.
- He was also Legal Counsel to the board of directors of one of the largest Spanish shipbuilding companies, namely Astilleros La Naval de Sestao S.A.
- He previously sat on the board of trustees of Fundación para la Libertad.
- From 1992 to 2011 he was a lecturer at the Department of Private Law of the University of Deusto and delivered commercial lectures as part of the Master’s degree in Business Legal Consultancy.
- He has delivered numerous courses and lectures on civil liability, obligations and contracts, subjects on which he has also authored several publications.

- Practicing lawyer and partner at the law firm MA Abogados Estudio Jurídico, with extensive experience in commercial and civil matters, focusing on litigation and arbitration.
- Director and secretary of the parent company of the Spanish business group E.
