- This accreditation recognizes the rigor and good practices of the entity in its management, as well as compliance with the principles that guarantee its transparent and responsible operation.
- The renewal process was carried out after an analysis that reaffirms the Foundation's compliance with the seven Principles of Transparency and Good Practices defined by Lealtad Instituciones.
Endesa Foundation renews, for the fourth consecutive time, its transparency and good practices accreditation granted by Lealtad Instituciones, reaffirming its position as one of the leading entities in responsible management. Endesa Foundation first received this accreditation in 2018, becoming the first corporate foundation of the IBEX 35 to obtain it. This recognition is renewed every two years, and since then, it has been awarded again in 2020, 2022, and now in 2024, as a testament to its solid commitment to maximum transparency and excellence in its activities.
The renewal of this recognition follows an analysis process conducted by Lealtad Instituciones, the first professional organization in Spain that analyzes and provides corporate and family foundations with an accreditation based on compliance with seven Principles of Transparency and Good Practices, which have been defined by a committee of renowned experts.
The organization has issued a report highlighting the full compliance by Endesa Foundation with these seven principles, which cover everything from the regulation of the Board of Trustees and the clarity of the social purpose, to financial transparency and compliance with legal obligations.
This analysis verified the compliance with the principles that ensure transparent and responsible operation, as well as the proper management of its governing body and the availability of key information for its stakeholders. Endesa Foundation has mechanisms that guarantee both its independence and efficient oversight, thus reinforcing the trust of its partners and beneficiaries.
Additionally, the report highlights the existence of a strategic framework and an annual planning process that ensure the achievement of the objectives across the Foundation. Projects are selected, approved, and supervised through rigorous criteria, allowing for a constant evaluation of the achievements aligned with the Foundation's goals. “At Endesa Foundation we strive every day to implement a management model that goes beyond expectations, and this accreditation supports the commitment we have made to society. Through transparency and good management, we want to build a relationship of trust that inspires and meets the expectations of our collaborators and the public in general,” María Malaxechevarría, General Director of Endesa Foundation and Sustainability at Endesa.
