The Endesa Foundation was established in 1998 as an expression of Endesa’s social commitment to address the needs of the communities in which it operates and thereby contribute to societal development. Today, the Foundation runs approximately thirty projects across five main lines of action: Education, Training for employment, Culture, Biodiversity, and Corporate volunteering.
Through the Endesa Foundation, we work to drive high-quality education that is fit for modern challenges, ensuring that the most vulnerable have a future full of opportunities. We also strive to foster our country’s culture and art, and to create a more sustainable world by caring for the environment around us.
The Endesa Foundation fosters quality education that prepares the professionals of the future to face current challenges. It achieves this through programmes that support talent, academic excellence, the promotion of STEM vocations, and energy literacy and its responsible, efficient use.
One of the Endesa Foundation's major objectives is to create opportunities, provide tools, and facilitate labour market integration for groups facing employment vulnerability—whether due to their socioeconomic situation or their age—by improving their skills and training to help them find work.
The Endesa Foundation works to showcase culture, art, and historical heritage and make them accessible to everyone. It does this through the energy-efficient artistic lighting of iconic monuments, by bringing culture closer to those with fewer opportunities, and by highlighting Endesa’s historical and industrial legacy.
The Endesa Foundation is committed to caring for biodiversity and the environment. For this reason, it develops projects to help preserve and protect biodiversity and to raise public awareness of its importance for social well-being.
The Endesa Foundation involves Endesa employees in social and environmental development programmes, responding to their social concerns. In this way, they participate in initiatives that contribute to reducing social inequalities and fighting climate change.
