In this series of videos, our experts explain some of these measures in detail and answer the questions we have received through our social networks.

Endesa's public responsibility plan in response to Covid-19

With the measures set out in our plan, we are contributing to the fight against the spread of the virus, ensuring the supply of energy, and granting special facilities to our customers.

29 March 2020: We create a €25M fund and activate a plan to provide material, services, equipment and infrastructure.

17 April: We donate materials and services:

·       2M masks and other PPE.

·       Ventilators, tests and drugs.

·       Support for public service teams.

2 April 2020: Special conditions for field hospitals and hospital-hotels: guaranteed free supply.

Financial donations to institutions and organisations to cover basic needs.

  • 10 April 2020: €500,000 to Cruz Roja Responde [Red Cross Responds] to help 25,000 vulnerable families.
  • 15 April 2020: €2.5M to the Madrid and Catalonia regional governments for the most urgent crisis items.
  • 21 April: €200,000 to the CSIC for research into drugs and screening tests.

We collaborate with donations through the Endesa Foundation.

  • 21 March 2020: €415,000 to organisations such as Caritas, Fundación SAFA and Fundación Integra.
  • 9 April 2020: 22,000 protective visors made with 3D printers from the RetoTech programme, in collaboration with BQ.

We guarantee the supply of electricity and incident resolution.

  • 24 March 2020: We strengthen our generation and distribution control centres to ensure supply.
  • 25 March 2020: We duplicate the control centre for renewable facilities.
  • 25 March 2020: We strengthen distribution in neighbourhoods affected by illegal connections.
  • 29 March 2020: We guarantee supply to hospitals:
    • Alternative supply and reserve systems.
    • We provide new supplies and necessary connections.
    • We prioritise incident resolution.

We protect homes and businesses with new measures.

  • 13 March 2020: We halt supply cut-offs to our residential customers for non-payment.
  • 20 March 2020: We respond to urgent breakdowns and activate emergency plans to respond to electricity, gas and equipment repairs.
  • 20 March 2020: We strengthen online customer service and provide facilities with constant updating of the website.
  • 01 April 2020: We extend the Bono Social discount for people left in a vulnerable situation.
  • 01 March 2020: Facilities for companies and the self-employed, giving them the option to:
    • Reduce their power rating.
    • Defer payment of bills (SMEs and self-employed).
    • Suspend supply.

13 March 2020: We put in place measures to protect our employees.

  • Telecommuting for all those positions that allow it or can adapt.
  • And for those who must go into work:
    • We step up the cleaning of facilities.
    • We provide PPE.
    • We maintain constant communication.
    • We keep collaborators informed of the measures.
    • We implement an internal procedure to facilitate communication to those affected.
    • We restrict external visits to headquarters.

 

We continue to work every day on new measures within our Public Responsibility Plan in response to COVID-19.
