What differences are there between the free market and the regulated market?
Regulated market
The regulated market offers only the PVPC tariff, with a price that changes by the hour and day based on the supply-demand between the producer (the generating company) and the supplier to the consumer (the retailer). Therefore, the kWh price changes from one day to the next.
Free market
The free market offers a wide range of tariffs and includes various retailers. The kWh price is set by the company so you will always pay the price stipulated in your contract.
These are the main differences between the two energy markets, but if you would like to know more we provide comprehensive details in the following content.
