How is a contract terminated and what does it entail?
It is important to remember that requesting termination implies the cessation of the supply, so the house or premises will no longer be supplied with electricity or gas. Therefore we recommend that you carefully consider what terminating a supply entails.
The cancellation process is free of charge. It is requested and the supply point becomes inactive. Therefore, if the home or premises is going to have a new tenant, we advise that you change the contract holder.
Termination can only be requested by the contract holder. In the event of death of the contract holder, consult the content on how to cancel a service after someone has passed away.
You can cancel a contract with Endesa from your Private Customer Area. Go to “Procedures”, “We are here to help” and click on “Terminate a supply”. Or call our freephone number 800 76 09 09.
