This year we are once again supporting entrepreneurship at the South Summit, the largest meeting between innovators, companies and startups in southern Europe. We also want to raise awareness for projects that promote the circular economy. Find out more and participate in our contest!

We are innovability
South Summit is the largest connector of startups, investors and corporations committed to innovation in southern Europe. This edition has a very special meaning, since we will be back in person with more enthusiasm than ever. We will participate in different talks and we will share some initiatives that we are promoting.
We are innovabilty. Let's walk the talk. With this motto we present our commitment to innovability (innovation and sustainability) to promote impact solutions and models aimed at promoting the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
To achieve this, we want to particularly support entrepreneurs. We have been committed to this open innovation for more than 10 years, which encourages entrepreneurs to develop solutions that transform the current energy model.

The startup competition
The Innovability Challenge, a circular economy challenge
Together with Startup Europe Awards, Loom and SustainableStartup&Co we are convening the Innovability Challenge contest, which will take place in person and virtually on 5, 6 and 7 October during the 2021 South Summit at La N@VE Madrid.
We have jointly selected 12 startups with entrepreneurship initiatives related to the environment, sustainability and the circular economy.
Discover the 12 projects and vote for the ones you like the most on the contest website. By registering on the website you will receive 25 "echoes" that you can distribute among whichever initiatives you like. You could win a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 by just participating!
The eight most voted projects will make a pitch at the Demo Stage on the 6th at 4:15 p.m. to explain their projects. You can follow the Pitch virtually with the Digital VIP Pass or from the Loom centres in Madrid and Barcelona.
The winner will be the startup that received the most "echoes" on the 7th by 2:00 p.m., when the awards will be presented at the Endesa stand. The winners will be awarded cash prizes, the right to participate in the European Commission Startup Europe Awards and Vouchers to use in the LOOM space.

Startup Europe Awards (SEUA)
The Startup Europe Awards (SEUA) is a methodology of the European Commission DG CONNECT that was implemented by the Finnova Foundation in 2016. The SEUA constitute the open innovation tool to identify disruptive startups that promotes public-private collaboration and raises awareness about the importance of self-entrepreneurship as an engine that generates employment. In addition to generating partnerships that help meet the United Nations SDGs and the actions of the European Green Deal, the SEUA aims to contribute to the circular economy, the fight against climate change and sustainable tourism.
The winners of these European awards will be given an acceleration ticket valued at 3,000 euros, as part of the Startup Europe Accelerator programme, to receive mentoring in European projects and European funds; networking in the European market and advice to overcome legal barriers and support the internationalisation of disruptive ideas.
