La Hormiga Verde, recycling of electronic waste

According to the United Nations Environment Program, about 50 million tons of e-waste are generated each year worldwide. Within these wastes are highly polluting and dangerous materials such as heavy metals: mercury, lead, cadmium, lead, chromium, arsenic or antimony, which are susceptible to causing various damages to health and the environment.

Ignacio and the La Hormiga Verde team are a special employment center, in which all working people have disabilities and are dedicated to the collection, disassembly and recovery of electronic waste, recovering more than 95% of raw materials, creating circular and social economy.
