Today Endesa and the Consumers Union of Andalusia (UCAUCE in Spanish) signed a collaboration protocol confirming their commitment to working more directly with a view to addressing and managing user complaints as quickly as possible.
This document details the coordination operation which includes the creation of a monitoring committee on which both entities are represented and which will meet at least once a quarter to ensure suitable compliance with this protocol. Another of its functions will be the review and assessment in the second instance of those claims managed by Endesa in which UCAUCE requires mediation or customised attention, constituting a direct channel through which they will be able to solve problems.
This protocol represents an update to the framework for relationships that has been maintained over a long period of time and throughout the almost four decades that the UCAUCE has existed. Its aim has always been to ensure the defence and improved positioning of consumers and users in the energy market.
Furthermore, within the framework for collaboration represented by this agreement signed by Pedro Luis Lázaro Ortega, President of the Consumers Union of Andalusia, and José Antonio Ranea, Endesa's Manager of Customer Services in Andalusia, the electricity company undertakes to actively participate in the forums convened by UCAUCE with the aim of disseminating information and providing training for consumers with regard to the electricity supply.
These training and information forums will address a number of issues, including contracting, market model, interpretation of electricity bills, energy efficiency and the characteristics of and procedures for access to the electricity Social Bonus. This will enable Endesa to assume an active role in these forums in order to provide greater knowledge and guidance to users with regard to these key issues in their daily lives.
