Endesa´s commitment to the development of communities is part of the company's Creating Shared Value Policy, which combines the company's objectives with the priorities of local stakeholders, strengthening local projects and assets through roots and acceptance to allow for the long-term sustainability of the business. We are therefore building a business model that is integrated with society, creating profitable solutions, addressing social needs and fostering mutually beneficial relationships that leave no one behind.
The application of the CSV Process translates into a CSV Plan formed by sustainability projects aligned with the needs of stakeholders and in partnership with them, with the aim of promoting sustainable development, social inclusion, fairness and local roots.
How is the application of the CSV model implemented?
In order to carry out this work we organise a cross-disciplinary team with which we analyse the environment (local or general) where the asset or project with which we are going to work is located and identify the relevant stakeholders.
In addition to analysing the environmental, social and regulatory aspects and critical factors of the environment of the asset or project, through an active dialogue, we gather the concerns and interests of the communities. We then jointly agree a CSV Plan with the stakeholders that addresses their concerns and generates dialogue, trust and value for all parties.

Steps in the process
Analysis of the local context
Analysis using indicators of the social, economic and environmental dimensions of the community. Potential risks and opportunities of the asset/project.
Comparison with the social agents
Contact with the most representatives agents in the community. Identification of the materiality: needs, interests, perceptions and attitude regarding the asset/project that is being supported.
Definition of the CSV Plan
Drawing up of the action plan with the social agents, including a set of actions that respond to the important topics identified and maximise the value created for the community.
Execution of the CSV Plan
Implementing the actions defined in the CSV Plan, through an internal cross-departmental team and, where appropriate, with the participation of local partners (NGOs, social enterprises, etc.).
Supervision, evaluation and reporting
Overseeing the process, measuring the effects to verify the value contribution and ensure the key information using monitoring indicators and results.
The application of the CSV model accompanies the business
We have currently implemented the CSV model in all the generation facilities referred to:
- Construction of new renewable energy facilities
- Thermal and renewable facilities in operation
- Decarbonisation projects.
We have also started applying the CSV model in the Distribution business line, and in our suppliers (Endesa Energía, Energía XXI and Endesa X) with a focus on social inclusion and energy poverty.
