- A number of actions will be undertaken, including the installation of 14.3 km of overhead cable interconnections and the change of 3.95 km of underground network conductor.
- The new interconnections will improve the operability of the network and progress towards the electrification of demand.
In 2022, Endesa, through its infrastructure and network subsidiary, e-distribución, will undertake the installation of new interconnections between lines and driver changes in Ibiza's medium voltage (15 kV) distribution network, with a view to making progress in the electrification of demand on the island of Ibiza with an investment of more than €2,655.000.
The most significant actions include the following:
- Interconnection to LMT GERTRUDIS, with the installation of 4,290 metres of 15 kV overhead line.
- A new underground interconnection for LMT PORTINATX with the installation of 2,539 metres of 15 kV underground line.
- New interconnection of 3,015 metres between the LMT PORTINATX and LMT CARLOS lines to improve the quality of supply and the operability of the network between the municipalities of Sant Joan de Labritja and Santa Eulària des Riu.
- Change of conductor for 1,897 meters of overhead line on the medium voltage LMT RIO de Santa Eulària des Riu line.
Investment for the actions on these infrastructures amounts to more than €2,655,000, of which €2,100,000 are for new interconnections and €555,000 for the change of underground line conductor, as well as making it easier to increase the electrification of demand, and it will improve the operability of the distribution network.
This investment will reduce the time the electricity supply is interrupted when there is a breakdown, so there will be an improvement to the quality of service for the entire area of influence for the installations that supply electricity on the island of Ibiza. It will be possible to put all these investments into action once the corresponding permits are available. They have already been requested from the administrations involved.
