Training session on green economy as part of one of the projects selected in Fundación Endesa’s 1st Green Entrepreneurship Call.
- The projects by the EVEHO Foundation, the APROCOR Inclusion and Support Foundation, and the Engrunes Foundation have been selected by the Endesa Foundation in its first Call for Grants for Green Entrepreneurship projects, owing to their capacity to promote the employment of vulnerable people and drive sustainable models with a social impact.

The Endesa Foundation has announced the three winning projects of its first Call for Grants for Green Entrepreneurship projects, an initiative aimed at supporting proposals developed by social entities that contribute to job creation in sectors linked to the energy transition, the circular economy, and environmental sustainability in Spain.
AETES, an initiative by the EVEHO Foundation, was chosen by the jury to receive support in developing its training and employment integration initiative for vulnerable young people in the field of aerothermal energy and efficient climate control. The project, based in Catalonia, proposes creating a specialised team for aerothermal installations, initially taking on three young people and fostering their autonomy through green employment.
The candidacy was recognised for its ability to integrate technological innovation with social impact, as well as for the organisation's previous work; since 2022, it has trained over 200 young people and launched the first integration enterprise specialising in renewable energies. In addition to contributing to the employability of vulnerable groups, the project promotes sustainable, replicable energy solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Another winning project was HILANDO CIRCULAR, presented by the APROCOR Inclusion and Support Foundation, an entity specialising in the labour inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. The initiative, developed in Madrid, focuses on preventing textile waste by creating a production unit dedicated to the reconditioning and customisation of garments, combining the circular economy with inclusive job creation.
The project will allow for the initial hiring of three people and expects to prevent the generation of over 3,000 kilograms of textile waste per year, alongside reconditioning at least 5,000 garments during its first year. The proposal was particularly highly rated for its ability to integrate environmental sustainability and labour inclusion, as well as its potential to be replicated in other urban environments and special employment centres.
A benchmark entity for social and labour market integration and sustainable waste management in the Barcelona metropolitan area, the Engrunes Foundation has also been selected for its Circular Endesa project. The initiative combines the collection, reuse, and recycling of bulky and textile waste with training and hiring pathways for vulnerable people.
The project envisages collecting 20 tonnes of waste and reusing at least 2 tonnes of this, creating 10 supported employment contracts, and digitalising inventory management to optimise reuse and recycling processes. The proposal stands out for its eco-social approach and for a circular economy model with the capacity for regional impact and replicability.
The three projects share a common vision based on green job creation, reducing environmental impact, and promoting sustainable, inclusive models. Furthermore, they incorporate monitoring and evaluation systems linked to specific indicators such as job creation, waste reduction, the number of beneficiaries, and the environmental impact avoided.
Ana Berengena, Project Director at the Endesa Foundation, highlighted the combination of “training, employment integration, and environmental sustainability through projects with a tangible impact in areas such as the circular economy, waste management, and energy efficiency. Their social focus and capacity to generate new employment opportunities were highly valued aspects in this call for proposals”.
This call for proposals, launched in November 2025, arises in a context where green employment is consolidating itself as one of the engines of economic and social transformation for the coming years. According to forecasts linked to the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (INECP 2021–2030), sectors associated with the energy transition could generate up to 560,000 vacancies in Spain by 2030 in areas such as renewable energies, energy retrofitting, the circular economy, and sustainable resource management. Faced with this scenario, the Endesa Foundation has launched this initiative with the aim of supporting projects capable of generating new employment opportunities linked to the green economy, particularly among vulnerable groups.
The deliberation to select the initiatives took place on 20 April and featured the participation of a highly prestigious jury made up of top-tier experts in entrepreneurship, the ecological transition, and the circular economy.
With a total endowment of €90,000, the call reinforces the Endesa Foundation's commitment to sustainable socio-economic development and an energy transition that puts people at the centre, driving initiatives capable of combining environmental innovation, employability, and social inclusion. Each of the three winning projects will receive a €30,000 grant entirely dedicated to the execution and development of the initiatives.

A commitment to green employment and the energy transition

The Call for Grants for Green Entrepreneurship projects represents a new step in this strategy, aimed at backing proposals that generate a positive economic, social, and environmental impact, particularly among vulnerable groups and in key sectors for the future of the energy transition in Spain.
