- In its strategic commitment to sustainable mobility, Endesa has trusted Stellantis and its brands Jeep and Peugeot to participate in the renewal of its fleet with electrified vehicles, which will be managed by Ayvens. This delivery is part of the fleet renewal plan that Endesa is carrying out this year, nearly 40% of the total, and will allow it to double its number of electric vehicles.
- The company has been optimizing and electrifying its fleet for over a decade and, currently, emits 55% less CO2 than in 2009, the first full year when it pioneered the introduction of a 400-vehicle commercial hybrid fleet. Since then, the electrified fleet has increased from 19% to the current 56%.
- The agreement includes the delivery of 134 units of the Jeep Compass in its 4xe version, with plug-in hybrid technology. Also joining Endesa's fleet are 51 units of the Peugeot E-Partner and E Rifter.
Stellantis, a leader in the automotive sector in sustainable mobility, has delivered a total of 185 electrified vehicles from the Jeep and Peugeot brands to Endesa, in a leasing agreement through Ayvens. This operation is part of the intense fleet renewal plan Endesa is carrying out in 2024, which will see the company end the year with twice as many electric vehicles, reaching nearly 450 units, and 24% more plug-in hybrids. Although the fleet optimization and electrification strategy began over a decade ago, 2024 marks a turning point for Endesa, as nearly 40% of the total fleet is being renewed. With the hybrid range included, by the end of this year, only about a third of the total fleet will still be combustion vehicles, and currently, Endesa emits 55% less CO2 than in 2009.
The Head of Corporate Mobility at Endesa, Pablo Samaura, highlighted that “by the end of this year, 7 out of every 10 vehicles in the corporate fleet will be sustainable. This effort, spanning more than a decade, has enabled us to reduce associated emissions by half since 2009, the first full year when we pioneered the introduction of a commercial hybrid fleet of 400 vehicles.”
For Jesús Cenalmor, Director of B2B at Stellantis, “this delivery not only strengthens our commitment to mobility but also underscores our ability to provide efficient and sustainable solutions to large corporations. We are proud to support their efforts with vehicles that stand out for their style, performance, quality, and safety, while contributing to emission reductions and environmental care.”
Jesús Jimeno, Head of Corporate at Ayvens, explained that the company is “very proud to manage this important agreement that reinforces Ayvens' commitment to sustainable mobility,” and emphasized that “the collaboration with Endesa in the renewal of its fleet, with a strong focus on electrification, demonstrates Ayvens' ability to offer leasing solutions that align with the most advanced environmental strategies in the market.”
A decade of electrifying the fleet
The Jeep Compass 4xe has been one of the models chosen by Endesa to renew its fleet with 134 units. A plug-in hybrid and backed by the “Zero” label from the Directorate General of Traffic, it combines electric range and sustainability with the robustness, versatility, and off-road capability that have always been the hallmark of Jeep. Fully aligned with Endesa's commitment, the Jeep Compass 4xe can reach any place in 100% electric mode thanks to its innovative all-wheel-drive technology. And all this while ensuring a high level of comfort for all its occupants.
On the other hand, the variety and versatility of the Peugeot 100% electric commercial vehicle range have been key for Endesa, which will renew its fleet with 51 units, distributed between 26 Peugeot E-Partner, 24 Peugeot E-Rifter, and one Peugeot E-Expert (the latter through Arval). These 100% electric vehicles offer all the advantages and performance of one of the most successful ranges in the Spanish market, thanks to their features, reliability, and, above all, their enormous adaptability to any type of activity.
Manufactured in Vigo, the Peugeot E-Partner and E-Rifter stand out for their versatility and comfort, with a range of up to 330 km. Their useful volume is 4.4 m3, the payload capacity is 780 kg, and the towing weight is 750 kg, setting the benchmark in the segment. The Peugeot E-Expert offers a range of up to 350 km. With its battery under the floor, it offers a useful volume of up to 6.6 m3, a payload of 1,263 kg, and a towing capacity of 1,000 kg.
