Fried egg
I expect you know a hundred ways to cook an egg, but have you ever tried to do it in the microwave? There are advantages to doing it in a microwave: First you use less oil to get a healthier result and then it makes less mess, so there is less to clean up afterwards.
There is also less risk of burning yourself in the process, as there will be no hot oil splashes. Are you ready to give it a go? Get the ingredients ready, take note of how to proceed and don't forget the bread to dip in the egg, because it is delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1 egg.
- 1 tablespoon oil.
- 1 pinch of salt.

Time to get going! Start by putting a tablespoon of oil in a bowl or a cup. Add the egg carefully so that the yolk does not break, and then add a pinch of salt.
Now cover it with a plate and put it in the microwave for 40 seconds at 850W of power. Be careful when you take it out, use the oven gloves so as not to burn yourself.
And there you are! Easy, isn't it?
Pizza in the microwave
Hands up if you have ever had a sudden urge for a nice pizza. It happens often: There you are at home taking it easy when you start to imagine it, you can even smell it. But you don't want to go out to the shop to buy a frozen pizza and ask for a takeaway and then have to wait.
Time to get to work! The pizza you are looking for is in your kitchen and you can prepare it with any garnish you like. This recipe will show you how to do it.
Ingredients:

Spread the tomato sauce over the entire surface until it is well covered. Then add grated mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings: York ham, mushrooms, pepperoni... whatever you like!
Put it in the microwave and cook for 1 or 2 minutes. Now you can go back to the living room and watch your favourite series while enjoying this wonderful homemade pizza.
Brownie
Did you know that brownies came by mistake? In about 1900, a cook forgot to put yeast in the chocolate cake and, since then we have been enjoying one of the most popular desserts in the world.
Fortunately we know what we are doing and we will explain how to cook it in the microwave to get a unique flavour. And the recipe is so quick and simple even the children can put on an apron, become chefs and have a great time.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg.
- 2 tablespoons milk.
- 1 tablespoon oil.
- 3 tablespoons sugar (white or brown).
- 3 tablespoons flour.
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder.
Preparation:
First take a bowl to mix the ingredients. Break an egg into the bowl and beat well. Then add the oil, milk, sugar, flour and cocoa powder. Mix well until there are no lumps and you have a consistent dough, then put the bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Finally take the bowl out of the microwave using oven gloves so as not to burn yourself and leave it to cool. This is a great opportunity to teach the children to be careful in the kitchen and to be more responsible.
Helping in the home is both fun and educational. So when it's ready, you can all enjoy the brownie together!
Microwave: The key efficiency in the kitchen
As it has a maximum consumption of 0.03 kWh, the microwave is one of the most efficient domestic appliances when it comes to saving energy at home. You also need to use less oil, so it is a good option for those looking to avoid the typical splashes when frying oil in a pan.
And if that were not enough, this also makes it much easier to clean, so you have more time to do other things or to rest. And this is also in addition to the fact that using a microwave is one way of making your kitchen efficient by saving time, energy and resources. It can also be used to prepare traditional recipes like the above and make your cuisine more creative.
"Making efficient use of a microwave helps us you save time and energy."
