Travel without contaminating
Burgos lives up to its fame and the cold was unforgiving in this second stage through the North of Spain. The main player on this trip was Endesa employee Gonzalo.
Samantha welcomed Gonzalo in front of one of the most interesting museums in Burgos, the Museum of Human Evolution. Together, they started the motors ready to live the #eVuelta experience.
The journey
Gonzalo drove from Burgos to Logroño, passing through landscapes as diverse as dry farmlands and La Rioja vineyards brought to us by this #eVuelta.
A mandatory stop awaited us halfway through because of the spectacular location. The Marqués de Riscal wine cellars. After visiting the hundred year barrels, Samantha and Gonzalo were able to enjoy the magnificent terrace of the Frank Gehry building. A unique setting among vineyards and the La Rioja mountains to film some scenes from the video of the stage.
A few points of interest
While the main players in Compostela were the Padrón peppers, obviously here it had to be wine. Samantha and Gonzalo took part in a very interesting and enjoyable wine pairing challenge.

Get to know the cars from the stage
The 2nd Tour of Spain in Electric Vehicle uses two kinds of efficient vehicle currently on the market:
The Kia Soul EV, with zero emissions, electric autonomy of up to 250 km and innovative technology that enables recovering up to 12% of kinetic energy; the battery recharges when braking and in retention.
On our journey, we also used the Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid (Niro PHEV) that combines major versatility with very low fuel consumption and emissions. Therefore, it has the ZERO label and can drive free of restrictions during the high contamination episodes in major cities. It enjoys bonuses when parked in regulated areas. The 100% electric version of this model comes out on the market soon.
Taking part
As in each stage, we gave away an electric scooter to the first person to find the car. In La Rioja, we were surprised by Carlos, an electric cyclist who craved the scooter and closely followed the clues we gave out on social media. Next time it might be you. Follow us in real time on Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #eVuelta.
Legal foundations of the call.
*Estimated consumption data from the electric vehicle calculated according to prevailing tariffs. The hybrid model with electric autonomy of 58 km, has a combined consumption of 1.3 L/100 km.
