The BUT venue in Madrid hosted the Endesa Play grand finale on 2 June. Five acts took to the stage, bringing youth and energy and turning the competition into a celebration of the country’s emerging musical talent.
While every contest must have a winner, all Endesa Play finalists take home an incredible prize: Tere!, winners of Endesa Play 2026, will perform at Jardín de las Delicias (Madrid); Hierva Büena at Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest; and L4 at Espacio Zity (Zaragoza). Meanwhile, Paper Lake will perform at the Endesa League playoff final, and Maddi Alma at the 2027 Copa de la Reina basketball final.
The prizes of Endesa Play go beyond these performances: the company will continue supporting these bands over the coming months with promotion and visibility.
Siloé, ambassadors of Endesa Play 2026, delivered a powerful performance to a packed venue. Their message for the winning bands: “patience.” And for all the participants: “keep making music.”
The second edition of Endesa Play has already crowned its winner. The initiative once again brought together some of the best emerging talents on the national music scene in a grand finale full of live music and emotion.
After listening to the five competing acts, a spectacular concert by Siloé and almost three hours of a gala filled with music and excitement, presenters Ana Medina and Ángel Carmona announced the jury’s verdict: out of nearly 500 artists who participated in this second edition, Tere! is the winning band of Endesa Play 2026. With their alternative female rock proposal and the strong stage presence of their lead singer, they secured first prize and will perform at the Jardín de las Delicias festival this September in Madrid.
“We feel enormously grateful for this opportunity,” Tere! said after receiving their award. “For us it is very important to grow professionally and keep adding milestones to our journey. This is a contest that allows us to show the enormous love we have for music,” they explained.
Chronologically, the first group to make their prize a reality will be Paper Lake. This Barcelona rock band, who entered Endesa Play with their debut single, will have the chance to perform in front of a large audience in just a few days at one of the Endesa League playoff final matches currently underway.
If youth is the common denominator of Endesa Play, Hierva Büena was the youngest proposal and the one awarded a performance at Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest thanks to a set full of spontaneity, ease, and fun. The guitar-based indie pop-rock of Barcelona’s L4 was awarded the prize that will take them to Espacio Zity (Zaragoza) in October. The jury praised the most danceable act of the night, Maddi Alma, awarding them a slot in the 2027 Copa de la Reina basketball final.

The gala featured a live performance by Siloé, the ambassadors of this second edition of Endesa Play. The band expressed their gratitude to Endesa “for the opportunity to be part of a platform that champions music and the people who create it.” In addition, band members Fito, Xavi, and Jacobo shared some advice for the winning bands: namely, “patience, which is something we also apply to ourselves every day. A contest allows you to grow your project and gain visibility, but it is not the end, nothing is. From our first concerts in Valladolid’s Plaza de la Universidad to today, where we can play in front of thousands of people, 12 years have passed.”
For the hundreds of groups that applied but did not reach the final, they also left a message of encouragement: “Keep making music, keep trying to improve in everything you do. It’s worth it.”
Endesa Play, visibility and opportunities for young musical talent
The grand final of Endesa Play was the result of a process that included an open call with nearly 500 registered bands and solo artists, live semi-finals in Seville, Barcelona, and Madrid, and an online vote that led to a nail-biting final. But, as Ignacio Asensi, Head of Sponsorships at Endesa, points out, “this is not the end, but the beginning. As we have shown with last year’s winners, La Última Copa and La Azotea, Endesa will fully support these bands to provide them with the best opportunities to grow, gain exposure, and showcase their talent.”
