Endesa is collaborating in the BetArt 2023 Calvià project, the seventh urban art event, which this year is organising new performances in different parts of the towns of Son Ferrer and El Toro.
Between 14 and 28 March, 5 new proposals for interventions in this year's edition of BetArt were selected to expand the Calvià open-air museum, in the areas of Son Ferrer and El Toro. This year there was record participation, with more than 60 applications and 83 different projects.
The artists and collectives selected for the artistic interventions in BetArt 2023 were the following: Anastasia Bellous with the "Escuela" project, Alex Gambín with "Imaginario colectivo", Dani Hache with his proposal entitled "Limones", Elena González with her proposal "Better together" and Rona Glantz with "Desenre2".
The artist Alex Gambín intervened with "Imaginario colectivo" in one of the Company's distribution centres. Alex Gambín (Alicante, 1996) has a degree in Fine Arts from the San Carlos Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a master's degree in Artistic Production from the same university.
The BetArt Calvià project started out as a cultural laboratory and is continuously changing and developing, with the intention in time of becoming the open-air museum of urban art in Calvià.
It is a competition that each year has more and more followers and it is currently seen as a new form of interaction of art with urban spaces, which places artistic interventions at street level that encourage activity in public spaces and promote art freely and free of charge. Connections are created between artists and public and private institutions that display artistic talent and renew the public space.
