As part of its commitment to the socioeconomic development of the Andorra Just Transition Hub, Endesa has launched an innovative citizen investment initiative for residents and companies in the region. Through the specialized crowdfunding platform Fundeen, individuals, companies and institutions registered in the 34 municipalities of the Just Transition Hub will be able to participate exclusively in Endesa’s Just Transition Project in Andorra, through this product offering an annual return of 4.5% (IRR*) over five years.
Endesa’s Just Transition project in Andorra is a key project in Spain’s decarbonization process. Following the closure of the Andorra thermal power plant in 2020, Endesa committed to developing 1,200 megawatts of renewable energy in the area, as well as a socioeconomic project to strengthen economic activity and employment in the just transition area. This investment instrument is part of the support and just transition plan that Endesa is developing in Bajo Aragón, aimed at mitigating the effects of the closure of the Andorra thermal power plant. With this project, Endesa reaffirms its commitment to generating local value, boosting the economy and promoting job creation, while moving towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy model.
Local citizen participation: key to the energy transition
The initiative is aimed exclusively at the 31,464 individuals and legal entities registered in the municipalities of the Mudéjar Hub. Citizens will be able to invest from a minimum of €500 up to €250,000, with a total limit of €2 million, from October 28 to December 31, 2024. Investments will begin to generate returns as of January 1, 2025.
Endesa has designed this financial instrument as a way to actively involve local residents in the energy transition in their area. Citizens will not only be able to obtain an economic return on their savings, but will also become key players in the shift towards a more sustainable energy model. Through initiatives of this kind, Endesa strengthens its "social license" to operate in the region, fostering acceptance and support for renewable projects in the area.

Anyone can become an investor in just minutes, facilitating financial education and access to the digital world. This approach allows citizens to manage their participation independently, contributing to the economic and sustainable development of the region.
Citizen meetings and information points
With the aim of maintaining open and transparent communication, starting on October 28, Endesa will hold a series of information meetings at 7:00 p.m. in 11 municipalities of the Mudéjar Hub, including Andorra, Alcorisa, Utrillas, Montalbán, Calanda, Ariño, Albalate del Arzobispo, Híjar, La Puebla de Híjar and Escatrón. These meetings will allow residents to learn first-hand about the details of this financial product and resolve any questions about how to participate.
