- The company participates at the 3rd National Self-Consumption Conference organised by the Association of Renewable Energy Companies (APPA) as the event's main sponsor.
Endesa X, the main sponsor of the 3rd National Conference of the Association of Renewable Energy Companies (APPA), participated at the opening ceremony of this benchmark event in the sector to analyse the importance of self-consumption as a measure for decarbonising the economy and mitigating the volatility of current prices.
In attendance at the meeting, inaugurated this morning by Sara Aagesen, Secretary of State for Energy at the Ministry of Ecological Transition; Juan Bravo, Minister of Finance and European Financing at the Regional Government of Andalusia; Santiago Gómez Ramos, Chairman of APPA Renovables; and Alfonso Vargas, Chairman of the Association of Renewable Energies in Andalusia (CLANER), were more than 300 self-consumption professionals including manufacturers, distributors, installers and marketers.
Endesa X, as part of its commitment to lead the transformation of the electricity sector in Spain and Portugal and to offer society the tools to achieve a new open, digital, innovative and sustainable energy model, underlined its commitment as the main collaborator at this essential event for the self-consumption sector.
To this, Jaime Goyanes, head of Distributed Generation at Endesa X, took the opportunity to highlight the benefits of photovoltaic self-consumption in this context of price volatility, emphasising that installing such facilities can provide savings of between 30 and 40% in energy bills.
As part of his speech, he stressed that Endesa X offers a business model that makes it possible to tackle the new challenges posed by this post-Covid period through tools allowing companies to speed up their decarbonisation process, such as a detailed analysis of their consumption, the proposal of specific measures such as self-consumption and assistance when implementing a customised solution that fits the needs of companies.
Furthermore, Endesa X has a follow-up plan in place after its implementation and provides solutions that best suit the economic needs of its customers so that they can install self-consumption solutions without having to make an investment.
Goyanes also brought attention to the fact that "at Endesa X, we have an online simulator: https://www.endesax.com/es/es/simulador-solar-fotovoltaico that allows companies to calculate their potential savings installing photovoltaic solar equipment on their roof in 4 simple steps".
Finally, Jaime Goyanes also highlighted the option offered by Endesa X to buy energy assets (solar installations for self-consumption and air conditioning, electrical installations, cogeneration and boilers, to name just a few) to companies and provide them with management, conditioning, monitoring and maintenance services, giving them immediate liquidity and the assurance that their management is entrusted to experts.
Self-consumption is a booming sector in our society that reached one gigawatt of installed power in 2021, an increase of 85% year on year, and which is expected to reach 14 gigawatts of installed power by 2030 according to the Self-Consumption Roadmap published by the government.
