- The XIV Aotec Technology Fair is one of the highlights in the annual telecommunications agenda and will bring together 101 companies with the latest in telecommunications at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Málaga (@Fycma).
- Endesa X will present Homix, a comprehensive digital ecosystem for the home which will enable heating, air conditioning, security, and home lighting, as well as all other smart devices, to be managed easily, even remotely.
Digitalisation has also reached the home and that is why Endesa X will be present for the first time at the XIV AOTEC Technology Fair, one of the highlights in the annual agenda of the telco sector that takes place today and tomorrow at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Málaga (Fycma). Aotec 2021 is a benchmark event in the sector for local telecommunications operators and will bring together more than 100 companies in this Andalusian city.
Endesa X will present Homix, a 'smart home' ecosystem to manage the comfort of your home. Endesa X's solution for a smart home, with Alexa integrated, is a new way of interacting with technology and has been designed to help families save energy and simplify their lives while respecting the environment. It is a unique solution for the home which will enable heating, air conditioning, security, and home lighting, as well as all other smart devices in the digital environment, to be managed easily, even remotely.
Homix is based on the functions of a smart thermostat and can become a comprehensive ecosystem for the home. A true smart home capable of learning habits to simplify the daily life of families. It can be installed on the wall or on a table or shelf. Homix is also very easy to use. It can be managed through voice commands, thanks to the integration of Alexa in the device, or via a touch and intuitive interface, as well as via a mobile application, even if you are away from home.
The most important new feature to be presented by Endesa X at the AOTEC is the Homix Smart Modem, where all the capabilities of Homix Smart Home are incorporated into the modem so all the services provided by the Homix ecosystem can be accessed directly using a smartphone.
For Andrea Scognamiglio, Global Head of e-Home at Enel X, "With Homix we have shown that the sustainability = affordability equation is already a reality for all those who adopt our solutions. Now, using a device as common as a modem, we make our ecosystem of Homix Smart Home solutions even more accessible and integrated. This event provides an excellent opportunity for the presentation of Homix in the Telecommunications sector and underlines the synergies with our Smart Home."
For Davide Ciciliato, General Manager of Endesa X, "without connectivity there is no future for our towns and cities and, of course, for our homes. We are offering a digital ecosystem, a new way of interacting with your home and especially, with managing your comfort."
Endesa X has already installed more than 9,000 Homix Home, the price for a Homix Home Starter Kit starts at 149 euros. The company's goal is to market them together with new boilers and air conditioners, which also help families improve their energy efficiency at home.
Take advantage of a smart home
Efficient air conditioning systems, motion detectors for lighting, installations that raise and lower blinds, etc. Home automation provides comfort, quality of life and significant savings. Smart control systems can save up to 50% in electricity consumption by optimising the management of lighting, hot water, heating and air-conditioning.
For example, a simple programmable thermostat also generates considerable savings in the electricity bill by adjusting the temperature to our different needs: day/night, weekends, travel, etc. A smart thermostat learns about the family's habits, information on geolocation to adapt to the needs of each home in a simple way.
AOTEC 2021
The motto for this year's edition of the AOTEC Fair is 'United to meet the challenges', in reference to the work and dedication of operators during this pandemic to cover the population's connectivity requirements and also looks to the future, meeting the challenge presented by economic recovery and of continuing to advance in the digitalisation of society in the so-called "empty Spain". The event brings together local operators -almost 800 SMEs in Spain, operating mainly in towns of fewer than 50,000 inhabitants-, engineers, entrepreneurs and administrations responsible for the telecommunications sector.
AOTEC is a professional business organisation whose objective is to represent, promote, coordinate and defend local telecommunications operators. It is the only national entity in this field and consists of more than 150 companies.
The mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, will officially open the exhibition. It will be closed by Roberto Sánchez, Secretary of State and Digital Infrastructures. In both cases, the events will include a tour of the trade fair installations and will be followed by a get-together with those attending.
