- Endesa will perform these services in collaboration with GSS Grupo Covisian, a market leader in Spain in advanced customer management services and cutting-edge technologies. This synergy will allow Endesa's customers to enjoy personalised service.
- This is Endesa's fourth centre in Spain, in a total of more than 1,000 jobs.
The mayor of Badajoz, Ignacio Gragera, has unveiled Endesa's new call centre in the city. The event was also witnessed the Head of Customer Service at Endesa, Carmen Hinchado, and the General Manager of Endesa in Extremadura, Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, Rafael Sánchez.
Endesa's new call centre will generate up to 200 direct jobs. Its main activity is customer service, in order to offer quality, personalised service. These services will be carried out in collaboration with GSS Grupo Covisian, a market leader in Spain in innovative contact centre solutions.
During the event, Endesa's Head of Customer Service stressed "Endesa's commitment to employability and its commitment to offering customers personalised and quality service that can solve their doubts from the comfort of their homes".
Endesa's General Manager in Extremadura, Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, emphasised "the selection of Badajoz as the headquarters of this new contact centre, since we have deep roots in this area and we want to continue generating value through job creation".
The mayor of Badajoz, Ignacio Gragera, also pointed out that "it is always good news that large companies find in Badajoz a place to invest, because that means economic growth and job creation for our city". Gragera thanked Endesa and GSS Grupo Covisian "for their commitment to Badajoz".
According to the Badajoz labour market report prepared by the SEPE (public state employment service), 30% of the population in Badajoz is unemployed. Consequently, job creation is especially relevant in this area. Endesa's commitment to promoting job opportunities for the province's residents is joined by its commitment to inclusion: it has pledged that 10% of those recruited will have some type of disability, thus supporting their integration into the job market.
Endesa's commitment to personalised and quality service means this is the fourth centre to open in Spain – and nearly 1,000 people are currently working in these contact centres, in León, Barcelona and Terrassa. Endesa's promotion of inclusion is also present at these locations, with 100 staff being people with disabilities.
