- Endesa Energía is the retailer that has been awarded the tender to supply all the electricity required by the Government of the Balearic Islands, estimated at 270 GWh/year, using energy from renewable sources.
- Endesa X, Endesa's energy services subsidiary, will also install 11 photovoltaic solar plants for self-consumption as a result of the agreement, with a total capacity of 631.45kWp. The solar panels will be installed in buildings and on surfaces owned by the Balearic Island Government. It includes 1 solar panel installation on a floating structure in the irrigation pool in the municipality of Consell.
Endesa was awarded the tender by the Ministry of Finance and Foreign Affairs for a new energy contract with the Government of the Balearic Islands. This contract represents a new commitment for the supply of 100% renewable energy to the Balearic Island Government's more than 850 supply points.
The contract between Endesa Energía and the Government establishes the price of electricity supplies applicable to all contracts with the Balearic Islands Government for a period of 1 year (from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024). The total electricity demand for the Administration's buildings and installations, with consumption estimated at 270 GWh/year, will come with "Green Energy" certification. With this commitment to renewable energy, the Balearic Islands Government will completely eliminate CO2 emissions from its installations.

The following photovoltaic solar installations corresponding to this contract, deserve special mention: IES Sineu (91 KWp), IES Berenguer d’Anoia (120.95 KWp), IES Binissalem (60 KWp), CIFP Juníper Serra (70 KWp), Algaida Health Centre (12.5 KWp), Can Picafort Health Centre (40 KWp), Sóller Sewage Treatment Plant (75 KWp), Vilafranca de Bonany Sewage Treatment Plant (50 KWp), floating structure on the irrigation pool in Consell (30 KWp), irrigation pool in Capdepera (70 KWp) and the Sa Riera Occupational Centre Palma (12 kWp).
