The 7th edition of the +50 Emprende Awards continues its tour of Spain and returns to Madrid on 10 December, with the aim of continuing to identify and support new business ideas and projects promoted by senior entrepreneurs. These awards are an initiative of SAVIA, a project of the Endesa Foundation and Fundación Máshumano, and the production company 02:59 Films. The tour for these awards—Spain’s premier initiative for promoting entrepreneurship among the over-50s—has already visited Barcelona (7 October), Madrid (21 October), Seville (29 October), and Zaragoza (4 November). The tour now returns to Madrid before making its final stop in Málaga on 13 January 2026 to conclude the circuit.
The Madrid stop of the 7th +50 Emprende Awards will be held at the International Lab (Calle Bailén, 41) from 10:00 to 14:00. The event will feature a dedicated recording area where senior entrepreneurs can pitch their projects in person—a streamlined process facilitated by the production team at 02:59 Films. Those entrepreneurs interested in presenting their project that day must register in advance using the form on the SAVIA website. In the presentation, they must indicate their name, age, city of residence, why they want to start a business, and what their project consists of.
The +50 Emprende Awards have become established as a key platform for showcasing the entrepreneurial potential of senior professionals—fostering the development of innovative projects while driving the cultural shift needed to combat ageism in the workplace.
The 7th edition of the +50 Emprende Awards
The call for entries remains open until 16 January 2026. During this period, people over 50 with entrepreneurial ideas or projects can participate by filling out the form available on the website and sending a video lasting up to three minutes stating their name, age, and city of residence, and outlining their business concept and their motivation for becoming an entrepreneur.
This edition retains the three prizes in the general category while expanding the Green Entrepreneurship category. Originally established in 2024 to recognise initiatives linked to the energy transition and the circular economy, the Green category has grown from a single award to a total of three prizes. A total of €33,000 in cash prizes will be awarded across the two categories. For both the General and Green tracks, the prize breakdown is as follows: €10,000 for first place, €5,000 for second, and €1,500 for third.
In addition to these awards, the winning projects will receive prizes valued at €20,000 in services, which includes training and advice from partners including 50 PRO, ARRABE INTEGRA, TQUITY, Revista Emprendedores, and DATAHACK. This prize package is designed to bolster the skills of senior entrepreneurs, helping them scale their projects and increase their market impact. It offers business consultancy, specialised training, and strategic AI coaching to drive innovation and streamline operations.
