- Endesa X Way is Endesa's new brand dedicated exclusively to electric mobility to lead the transition of transport towards electrification and marketing, and the deployment of electric for private users, companies and cities.
Endesa X Way is one of the main sponsors of the 6th European Congress on Electric Mobility (CEVE), organised by the Spanish Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility (AEDIVE), of which Endesa X Way has been a member since April 2015 and is part of its Board of Directors. This year, the venue for the congress is the Pabellón de la Navegación in Seville, on 3 and 4 November.
The event will be inaugurated by Marifrán Carazo, Minister of Development for the Junta de Andalucía; Antonio Muñoz, Mayor of Seville; and Joan Groizard, CEO of AEDIVE. Endesa X Way will be represented by Elena Bernárdez, General Manager of Endesa X Way, who will be a speaker at the round table on Charging Infrastructures. Where we are and where we are going, which will focus on the charging solutions, plans and direction for the coming years of Endesa's new business line focused exclusively on electric mobility.
Currently, one of the pillars of Endesa's strategic plan and proof of its commitment to electric mobility is the Endesa X Way public charging infrastructure deployment plan, the most recognised flagship project of the new business line: it already has more than 3,800 public access charging stations installed in cities, rural environments and roads. Of these, more than 2,400 are located in some 150 cities in all Spanish provinces. Endesa X Way's goal for the coming years is to continue installing charging stations of all powers, with a greater focus on ultra-fast charging, a deployment plan that seeks to take account of all customer usage habits.
The CEVE2022 Congress will analyse the current situation of the electric mobility sector at national and European level through four points of view: industrial development, self-consumption, infrastructures and business models. From this broad analysis, it aims for Spain to become a leader in sustainable mobility and energy efficiency with the promotion of renewable energies and energy storage. Endesa X Way, as main sponsor, engages in the objective of the global transformation of mobility and the electrification of transport, which accounts for more than a quarter of total greenhouse gas emissions in Spain and has become one of the main challenges of society.
AEDIVE, through the AEDIVE–Santiago Losada awards, and their four categories, aims to give visibility and stress the importance of the development of companies and institutions in electric mobility. In the last edition (2021), it recognised innovation in electric vehicle batteries, and women for their key role in decision-making and education of new generations.
