- The Andalusian city welcomes the return to face-to-face format 30 years after its first cup.
- The heart of Granada will breathe basketball and rhythm in the Fan Zones. Plaza de las Pasiegas will vibrate with the shows of the Jardín de las Delícias festival, a cultural event coming to Granada for the first time, and featuring brands such as Pol 3.14, Radio Palmer and Colectivo Da Silva, and DJs such as Ardiya, Juan Valiente and Mickey Pavón.
- Basket Lovers will be offered sustainable transport to the Palacio de los Deportes in Granada in Toyota's hybrid electric vehicles.
Endesa, main sponsor of the Copa del Rey de Baloncesto, will fill the streets of Granada with activities for all audiences. The energy of basketball joins the sustainable music of the Endesa-Jardín de las Delícias tour, in line with the company's commitment to basketball.
The activities kick-start this Wednesday with the Minicopa Endesa at Campus 1 of the Faculty of Fuentenueva in the University of Granada. Real Madrid–Cajasiete will start the competition at 15:00 while the main stage of the Copa del Rey, the Palacio Municipal de Deportes, will witness the final match on Sunday at 13:00.
From Thursday, the Fan Zone at Plaza de Bib-Rambla will combine augmented reality and interactive participation to win prizes and experience the best of the cup's atmosphere. "Colgados del Aro", Endesa's programme dedicated to basketball and presented by Pablo Lolaso, Juanma López Iturriaga and Siro López, will be in Granada to capture all the emotion of this Copa del Rey on its return to normal. From Thursday to Sunday, they will broadcast live on their Twitch channel telling the news from the event, both on and off the court.
From Friday, Plaza de las Pasiegas will become the most musical spot in the city with the Endesa-Jardín de las Delícias tour, the cultural event that Endesa joined as a sustainable ally this year. On Friday at 14:00, Pol 3.14 followed by DJ Ardiya will kick off the music in Spanish, which will continue on Saturday at 13:30 with Radio Palmer and then with DJ Juan Valiente. On Sunday at 12:30, it will be the turn of Colectivo Da Silva, with DJ Mickey Pavón ending the party. All the news, promotions and special actions in this fan zone can be followed on the social media channels of Endesa Music Lover.
Plaza de Bib-Rambla will host the traditional meeting of fans on Saturday morning. From 11:30 to 13:30, fan groups of all teams competing will flood the streets of Granada's city centre. Camaraderie, good humour and music will be the protagonists of an unforgettable morning for all fans who come to the cup and for anyone in Granada who wants to enjoy a unique leisure experience.
Just before the initial jump between each match, a young Basket Lover will offer the official ball of the match. "Ball kids" will be part of all the cup matches and the final of the Minicopa Endesa, in a very special experience that they will remember forever.
During the Endesa Minicopa and the Copa del Rey, the official mascot of the Minicopa Endesa, the electric lynx Garras, will entertain the public in the Fan Zone and the venues. Garras himself will be the presenter of the final of the mascot dance of Liga Endesa.
Promoting sustainable mobility and recycling
Basket Lovers in Granada will be able to enjoy sustainable energy and go from the city centre to the Palacio Municipal de Deportes by electric car, offered by Endesa and Toyota. At the venue, they will be able to do their part in a team recycling initiative. It is a panel of eight baskets, one per team in the competition, in which fans can throw their plastics in the game we all play: the environment's.
Sweepstakes and competitions
In addition, Endesa will draw six electric scooters among the fans who visit Endesa's Fan Zone at Plaza Bib-Rambla and participate in the activation of augmented reality. All visitors will be eligible for merchandising prizes such as the classic and beloved Basket Lover bracelets, a unique sign worn by basketball fans for years.
