- This unique hotel that fuses art and entertainment has been open for a year and contracted with Endesa for the supply of green energy as part of its sustainability policy.
- This project will prevent the emission of 107 tonnes of CO2/year into the atmosphere, equivalent to the absorption capacity of almost 5,400 trees per year.
UMusic Hotel Madrid, UMusic Hotels' first hotel in the world opened its doors just a few metres from the Puerta del Sol, in the heart of Madrid, just a year ago. To make this possible, it contracted the supply of 100% renewable energy as part of its sustainability policy with Endesa. Now, this new international hotel brand that combines accommodation and entertainment inspired by music has renewed its confidence in the energy company.
This is a supply contract that will cover all the energy needs that UMusic Hotel Madrid has not only to accommodate its guests, but also for its musical shows at the UMusic Hotel Teatro Albéniz. This means that approximately 780,000 kWh/year will be certified with Guarantees of Renewable Origin (GoO), which will prevent the emission of more than 107 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by 2024, which translates into the CO2 absorption capacity of 5,382 trees/year.
UMusic Hotel Madrid aims to be a sustainable hotel with regard to energy consumption and is therefore committed to offering a high-quality service to its guests and customers while also being responsible for caring for the planet.
This alliance also strengthens Endesa's commitment to promoting culture and to sustainability through initiatives such as Endesa Music Lover, which will enable a reduction of the impact of the carbon footprint in music festivals and concerts.
